“Why is Axel taking so long?” I thought to myself. It was over several minutes since he stepped out on then I gave him. Yet, he had not returned. I signaled for one of the palace guards at the door to come closer.
“Get me Axel now, wherever he goes. Let him return immediately,” I whispered to him. He nodded his head in acknowledgment as he bowed slowly out of the council room. The other council members had a curious facial expression, but I paid them no heed as I remained unfazed at their inquiries.
“Our Alpha, pls what did you find out from your visit to Silver fang pack?” One of the council members bravely stood up to ask. The others nodded their heads in agreement and mumbled between themselves. It was obvious they were interested in my unofficial visit.
