I woke up feeling swamped and exhausted, I could hardly place my feet on the ground. Everything felt like a task. I gently looked over to see Ember sleeping peacefully with her head balanced on my chest. Her arms were wrapped around me like a web. I cringed at the sight, but I didn’t want to wake her up.
I tried to slowly tilt to re-position myself, sadly to no avail as my movements woke her up.
