“Ouch!” a sharp pain woke me up. Everywhere was totally black like a vacuum, I grimaced as I tried to touch my head to soothe the ache. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to, as I deduced my hands were tied behind me tightly with a rope. But, that wasn’t what got my attention. There was a scent that was fading, but it was a stench that made my wolf growl.
“Wolfbane”, the idea occurred to me. This was a word that was only whispered in my days in the kitchen as a maid in the Moonfall pack. It was gotten from a particular area deep in the forest that was forbidden to go to as it was deemed very potent and affected wolves severely.
