XXXVIII. THE LIMO
Upon landing, it was discovered that the restroom toilet was sucked clean from the floor and lodged into the hole that was ripped into the airplane by shrapnel from the blown engine. With the hole covered, the cabin pressure stabilized and, even though the engine was still on fire, the pilots were able to settle the plane for its emergency landing in Reno. It also helped that the AirBus flew out of the massive storm, and clear, turbulent-free skies helped the Estrella Ship coast into the Nevada airport.
“I’ll be damned!” Captain Woodward exclaimed, standing on the tarmac scratching his red beard while staring at the toilet sticking through the rear of the plane.
Co-pilot Lynne Stein shook her head in amazement. “Craziest f*****g thing I’ve ever seen.”
Woody concurred,
