Chapter Two Continued

As I looked up my eyes were met with the most memorizing set of eyes. After he had straightened me I noticed he still had his arms wrapped around my waist as he was looking directly at me with his eyes peering into mine. He was a sight to be seen, just breathtaking. In my nineteen years, I’ve seen my share of good looking men but the man in front of me as by far the best, godly even.

His hair was dark with waves, his hair was so nicely laid.I’m not sure if it was the lighting of the food court but his eyes were dark golden brown. His skin was chestnut brown. I felt his muscular but lean body pressed against mine.

Once I realized my wolf was calling to him after I snapped out of admiring the godlike man before me I finally understood what she was trying to tell me.

‘Mate.’ She whined.

At first I thought it was impossible, but I couldn’t deny it. I could feel the pull of the mate bond.

“Mine,” I heard him say with the a rasp in his voice.

Although my wolf was urging me to give into the bond I had this overwhelming feeling to flee. Her thoughts started to consume my own and it was driving me crazy. She wanted him in every way and if I did not leave I would not be able to control myself. I pulled away from his grasp.

He frowned as removed his hand from waist.

“I can’t do this I need to leave” I said under my breath as my heart rate spiked. I tried to get past him but he grabbed my hand and held me in my place.

“But you’re mine, you’re my mate,” he said with a confused look on his face. “Where are you going?” He asked in a demanding tone. My wolf was howling with happiness, as I frowned at the stranger that was in front of me.

“ I need to leave.” I said this time in more of a demanding tone of my own.

“Do not speak to me with that tone. I will not allow it.” He said with an imposing tone.

In that moment, based on his tone I came to a dreaded realization.

‘He’s and Alpha, Karina. We have a strong mate!’ My wolf told me as she enjoyed the connection his wolf and one were sharing. Moments like this with my wolf I found very annoying.

Jason began approaching me with a smile on his face when I was in his line of vision. As he got closer he took notice to the man in front of me, his facial expression changed. He turned serious and clenched his jaw.

People in the food court were staring at us as the tried to pass by, it didn’t help that we were in the middle of everyone’s walk way but no one dared to say anything. Jason approached us and slowly stood next to me.

“ I think this guy wants to kidnap me,” I told Jason, while I stood half way hiding behind his back. The Alpha growled when he noticed my movements toward Jason.

“Alpha, I was going to tell you yesterday, but now is as good a time as any that Karina want to join the pack,” Jason told my mate.

“ Actually I’m leaving this afternoon,” I said as I began to stay behind Jason.

“Like hell you are!” The Alpha yelled at me before Jason could open his mouth.

“ What? Why?” Jason asked me as he grabbed my hands and placed in his. My mate moved so fast that he was standing in between us in a flash.

“MINE!” He snapped at Jason.

I felt bad at how he reacted to him, Jason didn’t know.

Jason looked between his Alpha and I with a shocked expression.

“Damon she’s your mate? Our Luna?” Jason said cautiously

“Yes she is. I will not allow you or any other man touch what is mine, is that understood?” He said in a commanding tone.

“Yes Alpha, understood.” Jason nodded as he stared at me with a defeated expression on his face.

Damon grabbed my hand in his and began walking away. I yanked my hand from his hold catching him off guard as if he didn’t expect it. “I told you, Alpha I’m leaving and not with you” I spat at him. I saw Jason from my peripheral shaking his head anxiously.

Damon c****d his head slightly “Feisty. I love that. However little mate, you’re coming with me.” He said as he tried to grab my hand but I stepped back. “Mate or not, whatever you’re selling I don’t want any part of it. I’m leaving.” With that, I proceeded to walk away from him and Jason.

I made it out of the mall and into the parking lot, however I began to feel a very strong presence behind me. I dared not to look back. As I attempted to keep walking I felt a hand grasp around my waist and pulled me in.

“As amusing as that was back there little mate, I will not allow it anymore.” Damon whispered to me as his breath was on my neck. “ Now come, its time for us to go”. For a moment I was going to allow the bond to make this decision for me, however I regained my common sense and stood my ground.

“Unfortunately, I was not trying to amusing Alpha. I was only passing through your pack lands, and not that I see there is nothing of interest I will be taking my leave as I’ve stated more than once.” I replied to him.

“No, you’re place is with me. You’re staying here.” As he began trying to drag me with him I start pulling away from him. “Stop that or I will carry you. Either way you will be getting in this car with me and we will be going back to the pack house” He said with a hint of annoyance in his voice. I decided to stop fighting against in which he seemed satisfied. The only thing I had on me was my wallet which was safely secured in my back pocket. I began to walk by his side keeping up with his pace.

Damon began talking to Jason. I noticed that there was an opportunity for me to make a run for it as he was distracted. Before I knew I had started running making my way through the parking lot and onto the main road. It took them a minute or two to react to me leaving. I felt them starting to run after me.

I considered into shifting into my wold however, I knew she would run back to our mate considering she wanted to follow his commands. As I kept running all I could think of was how my luck was going. Just as I was enjoying my independence, then I meet my mate while running from my betrothed, and now I’m running from my mate on top of that.

Just as I was running toward the town line, I was tackled swiftly, I put my hands in front of me to guard my face from any impact. Moments before us crashing our positions were switched. Damon landed on the ground taking the full impact of the fall as I landed on top of him. We were facing each other, his hands were around my waist as mine where on his chest.

Damon was looking at me worriedly, not bothered by the fall as his hands reached for my face. “Are you okay, dear?” He asked me with concern in his voice. I nodded.

“Good because we are heading back, anymore problems from you I will tie you up.” He said flatly. I couldn’t tell if he was serious of not but I did not want to find out either. We walked side by side back to the parking lot.
