I grew up in Pitney Bowes, Texas. A small ass town but it was home. I had two younger sisters they were twins five years old when our parents were killed in a car accident. We were instantly shoved into a group home since my parents had no will, we had no other relatives to be shipped off to so foster care here we came. I was 13 there was no way in hell I was ever gonna be adopted. My twin sisters were adopted within a week but they didn't want me said I'd be nothing but trouble. So I became trouble I got kicked out of multiple foster homes and at the age of 15 I ran away.
Living in South Texas winter's weren't to bad unless a hurricane hit us which is what happened to me. It had been raining for days and I was hungry, tired, wet and I just wanted some where dry to rest. Most of Pitney Bowes was closed up so I figured what would it hurt if I broke into this bar ate some food got some sleep and bailed before anyone came around. I didn't realize Devil's Bar was a motorcycle bar. I broke the back window out climbed in made me so e food cleaned up my mess and found a cot in the back and passed out. I got a rude awakening the next afternoon when Pops North the owner and the President of the Devil's Angels MC found me. I was scared shitless he could have called the cops or worse yet buried me in the desert somewhere but he didn't. He made me enroll in school, graduate high school, made me work at Devil's Bar in the back for a year as my punishment. But in return I got a place to live, food, a family and a job. I became best friends with his youngest son Jax, he hit it off and became inseperable. We both prospected together and got patched in at the same time. I finally found a family of brothers that day and now 15 years later I still have that family and I belong to the Devil's Angels à Club I'm Sargent in Arms a few years ago. This club saved my life 15 years ago and they are my true family.
I never would have thought I'd be the man to want to settle down but after seeing our President Jax find Olivia and watch them two interact with one another. They got it going on. There love is the real deal. Last year Olivia was kidnapped not once but twice and Jax went through hell to get her back. Along with that our club suffered we had been infiltrated and had a mole. Our club suffered as a whole as we all experienced the heart ache and trama that Olivia and Jax went through. But in the end their love won. They now have a beautiful 6 month old daughter named Heaven Hope North she's the club's princess. Were her older brothers and we will protect her for life and we as a group decided to move from Texas to Glenwood Springs Colorado. We left Pitney Bowes Texas in hopes of a Fresh start for us all.
Jax's best friend Axel took over the Texas Chapter and our crew moved leaving Texas behind. I was glad we moved I knew I needed a fresh start. Only a few of the woman moved with us Kimber, Laura and Christine decided where Olivia went they went. They were inseparable. The best of friends.
We moved here in late December and it was cold but now it was April. Two weeks ago we were finally done with the clubhouse renovations. And we're all moved in to our separate areas. Our clubhouse used to be a Marriott hotel. We turned the lobby into the bar, dance floor, pool area. We kept the kitchen and just updated it. We turned one of the conference rooms Into our meeting room where we hold church, one conference room was turned into a gym/workout area, another conference room was turned into a dining room cause it was connected to the kitchen.
The old Marriot had two floors with 25 rooms on each floor. The first floor was converted into individual rooms for all patched members of the club. We took every two rooms and made them one big room. The ladies did all the interior decorating for the rooms. They were even sweet enough to ask each brother what color scheme did they prefer for thier room. I picked red, silver and black. The honeys got a single room each, we all had our own bathrooms. Jax and Olivia had the biggest part of the hotel converted in to a two story home for them. We took ten rooms on the first and second floor, 5 rooms from the left side on both floors and 5 rooms from the right side on both floors of the back part of the hotel and basically built them a home inside a hotel/clubhouse. They had inside and outside entrances. They had a separate pool from the clubhouses pool. They had a living room, dining room, kitchen, 3 bathrooms and 5 bedrooms. This way when Olivia's children came to visit they could stay in the clubhouse for safety but not feel like a part of the clubhouse. It was kinda cool that Olivia was the one to come up with the home inside a hotel idea. They have access to the clubhouse yet they are away from but not away from the clubhouse. It helped Olivia feel safe. She still struggled some nights from everything she'd gone through. She lived threw hell three times, Jax hit the jackpot when he found Olivia.
Transforming the old hotel into our clubhouse and mini condos was pretty cool. We expanded the lobby and made it into the main bar area. We took out walls and put in a bar and dance floor. We built a stage so we could have a band. Since we like to get together and fool around we'd play for groups everyone in awhile. We were going start having Friday night live band nights once everything is complete. We'd charge a cover/door fee to cover the cost of liquor and to pay the band for playing.
We had leather walls installed throughout the main area. The left side of the main room was the bar, dance floor and stage. We put 8 tables on the dance floor to be used the rest of the week and when we'd have a band we just moved the tables around the dance floor. The right side of the main room had three pool tables, a couple pinball machines, and a dart board. The front wall and side wall had booths lined down them. They were done in a black and red leather. The whole main area was done in our colors, black and red leather. We put our emblem up over the doors leading to the hallway. We installed bullet proof windows on all the buildings. We had five buildings. The main building was the clubhouse and the members homes and Jax and Olivia's home. The second building was a 16 room two story building that housed the prospects and the honeys. We had 8 prospects and 8 honeys that lived on site. The third building was a 18 room two story building that we renovated and would house our sister chapters when they came in town. And the fourth building was a renovated into a medical/storage/garage facility. And its where Doc stayed he was in charge of fixing us up after we went out and got our selves shot or what ever other injuries we suffered. We housed our bikes in one section of the building during the winter months and we renovated part of it into a an automotive garage and we were pretty busy doing anything from changing a tire to replacing motors and transmissions.
That was the first thing we did so we could keep money flowing. Every one of us patched members put in $75000 to move us here and buy this property and do all the renovations. Shorty installed a kick ass security system and we had an electric fenced that went around the whole 5 acre property. We installed cameras every 20 ft on the fences with motion detectors. We had a state of art sliding fence installed that you had to put in a 10 digit code and it used a fingerprint scanner to open the gate. We had Mac send his security team up to help Shorty set up all the cameras and motion detectors. Three of his team members decided to stay and be responsible for the main security of the outside of the club.
The main clubhouse had four conference rooms. One we used for our church room. We renovated the kitchen and turned one of the conference rooms into our dining room area. The final conference room was turned into 4 private offices and we're we kept the extra liquor and kegs for the bar. We were an open bar establishment open only Tuesday to Thursday noon to 10 pm and Friday and Saturday 11 am to 1 am. The prospects worked the bar. Kimber, Christine and Laura all worked at Lucky's 2 Bar.
We installed a triple pane bulett proof
door and a triple insulated wall between the main room and our living area. You had to have a key and a code to enter that area. Our living area was made into rooms for all the patched members. We each had 2 rooms on the first and second floors converted into condos. Each one of us had different floor plans. But all the patched members had our own space. The living arrangements consisted of 28 old hotel suites that we've converted into condos for us. My condo was the the first one with Gunner across the hall. Next to me was Bone Crushers place across from him was Shorty and next to Bone Crusher was Dingo and across from him was Luka. The final two rooms were for Dragon and Link who were going to be patched in soon. The major part of the hotel rooms were Jax and Olivias place. They had the final 20 suites renovated into a whole house with 4 bedrooms 4 bathrooms. A living room, kitchen and dining room. They had access from the clubhouse and the outside. We built a separate 10 foot fence to allow for privacy so they could have there own pool and hot tub and a play area for the grandkids and thier kids.
The rest of the property consisted of a pool, basketball court, a play ground area and a huge BBQ area with 3 pavilions and picnic tables. There was two small ponds, a walking trail, a bike path. About two acres of the property we're wooded so we put extra cameras throughout them to ensure our club and it's members were safe.
After all the hell that Jax & Olivia went through
I could only hope that I'd be that lucky to find someone like Olivia. I had my shares of honeys in Texas but I was 35 years old I was ready to settle down and start a family.
I hadn't found anyone in Texas that gave me that feeling. Momma Carter God rest her soul she told us "you'll know when you find the one God made for you your one true love. You'll feel it the moment your eyes meet. And when you do find that special one you better do everything you can to get them, and once you do don't screw it up.
Momma Carter knew it all, she'll be missed greatly. She went home a few months ago. She passed away in her sleep peacefully February 28 just six weeks ago.It was a sad day in Pitney Bowes she was 88 years old. We never thought she'd pass away, we thought she was invincible. She was so full of life up till the night she passed away. I had gone back home to Texas to take care of all the last bit of business we had there. We transferred all our businesses over to Axel and the crew he brought over from San Antonio with the exception of The Tower that was Jax's baby his pride and joy. Him and Olivia we're still full time owners of it and they go back home once a month to ensure it stayed running smoothly.
I was visiting with Momma C the night she died. We were sitting on her porch talking like we had a million times over the past 20 years and she said "You know Steven it's time for you to find you a good woman and she ain't here in Texas. You'll know when you find her though. She's waiting for you in Colorado. She's a beauty to, a bit younger than you. She's got long beautiful blonde hair and gorgeous eyes green as emeralds, you'll meet her soon son very soon, be good to her she's had a hard life, she's been through hell and she'll need your strength to get here through what's gonna happen to her. Stay strong and keep her safe and she'll love you and be the best wife you'll ever have. You'll never want another woman after you meet her. She's your destiny Steven." I had no clue what or who she was talking about. We talked into the wee hours of the morning. I had a feeling she knew she was gonna pass away cause she didn't want to go to sleep. She kept talking and talking till she knew it was time. Then she told me she loved me, gave me a big ole hug and a kiss on the forehead, told me goodbye and good night, that she was tired and it was her time to go home, Joe was calling her home. I didn't think anything about it till the next day when I went to wake her up and she had passed away in her sleep. Joe was her husband of 45 years who passed away 15 years before her, she was dead but at least she was reunited with herJoe. I hated to have to be the one to call Jax and my brothers. Hardest call I ever made in my life. Her funeral was a glorious one the whole town showed up for it. Not one dry eye in town that day. I'm gonna miss her, she just had that special gift about her. She was one of a kind. She knew things that no one else did. I miss her every day.
I stepped outside the clubhouse took a deep breathe and said a silent prayer to Momma C jumped on my bike and headed to Lucky's 2 Grand Opening. It had been raining all day but there was finally a break in the rain so I took my bike. She'd been in storage up till a week ago. I was ready for a ride on her. I pulled up to the bar and saw all my brothers bikes lined up in a row, I laughed "f**k guess that they had the same idea as me today" I took my helmet off hanging it on the handle bars and headed inside. The bar was packed as it had been all week long. We had opened last Friday. I was surprised to see it so busy on Saturday afternoon. I was sitting in our booth nursing a beer when the front door chime went off. I turned and froze.
An angel was walking through the front door. All the air in my lungs were instantly sucked out, it was as if time froze. She was tiny maybe 5'4" tall, she had the most gorgeous blonde, brown, copper hair in waves of curls all the way down her back. She had the darkest emerald green eyes I'd ever seen. She had on a cute navy blue sundress on that pushed her huge t**s together and they about popped out the top. She looked like pure heaven. Our eyes connected and she froze. She licked her lips and bit her bottom lip about knocking me on my ass. Her smile radiated the room. She was looking right at me and I stood to walk towards her right as Olivia walked right in front of me and greeted my angel. All I could say was "DIBS". All my brothers heard me and they knew exactly who I was referring to. Gunner patted me on the back "good luck dude she looks like a fiesty one."
I watched as she talked with Olivia at the bar. I could tell she was watching me cause im watching her. I wonder if Momma C was talking about this beauty. Cause she's got me feeling things I never felt before she was hired as a dishwasher. She had applied for a bartender but she had no experience so Olivia promised her she'd train her to be a bartender soon. At least I could keep an eye on her. That girl is something else. Oh yeah this was gonna be fun. I could picture my future with that woman and she was starting here Monday afternoon. If I still felt this way for her on Monday I was calling dibs before my horney brothers tried to touch her cause I don't want to beat down one of my brothers. Dam I couldn't wait till Monday. Longest two days of my life. Thank God today is Monday, I get to see my girl today. f**k yeah. It stopped raining, it was warm and I was in an amazing mood. Today would be good. I just didn't realize it till 12 hours later this turned out to be the most amazing day of my life.
