Chapter 56

Miku didn't go to the modeling agency because she left to return to Japan. There was an emergency, and her father and brother Shuji, who also returned to the country, didn't go back.

"Something sudden happened to your Mama, Shuji and Miku, you were supposed to have practice earlier but you canceled it to come with me," Raiden said to his two children inside the airplane.

"We were also worried about him, Papa, because he was fine when we talked yesterday, and then we find out he was taken to the hospital," Shuji replied to his father as he removed his large headphones.

Miku nodded in agreement with what her brother said. The siblings also did not plan to inform Lixue that they would be returning to Japan to visit their sick mother. Raiden asked his youngest child, Miku, if she immediately told her brother, Lixue, that they would be returning to Japan, and she shook her head at her father.

"I haven't told her yet, Papa, not now, I can't calm down about what happened to Mama, even though I'm trying to calm myself, I'm still anxious, Papa," Miku replied to her father.

Shuji also didn't reach out to Lixue his co-workers knew what happened to his mother, so it was impossible for Lixue to find out from them. When they arrived at the airport in Japan, they were met by a bodyguard. They weren't as famous as other celebrities or members of the royal family; they were just well-off.

They went straight to the Machiya—their house in Japan. The Machiya is clearly old, but it still stands strong on the lot where it is situated.

"Okaerinasai, o nichan." Miku said to her brother as the three of them got out of the car followed by the bodyguard.

(Welcome home, brother.)

Shuji observed the Machiya, and its appearance hadn't changed except for a little renovation. The family walked inside and were greeted by their aunt and uncle at the entrance of the Machiya.

Miku and Shuji's mother has two siblings. Miku pushed her brother away from their auntie and uncle who were prying into them.

"Nesan, tsuma wa naze byoin ni hakoba reta nodesu ka? Kino wa yoku hanashi o shita no ni, nani ga atta nodesu ka?" Raiden asked his wife's sister.

(Sister, why was my wife taken to the hospital? We had a good talk yesterday, what happened?)

On the other hand, Miku took her sibling to the vacant room next to her own room. Miku just accompanied her brother and they sat on the floor, taking off their shoes.

"Why did we leave Papa?" Shuji asked his sister.

"The two of Mama's siblings get intimidated when they know Papa is coming back. They pretend to care for Mama, but they don't really do anything. They only go to see Mama when I'm around, and they only need money from Papa, I get annoyed with them that's why I have a different vibe towards them, and I know they are not a good influence on Mama, even though they are her relatives," Miku complained to her brother.

Shuji thought that he added to his Mama's stress when he left her here in Japan. Miku even complained to her brother while their father had not yet come to their room.

Miku asked her brother for permission to change clothes so they could swap outfits. Shuji was left in the room filled with old pictures of him as a child and teenager. He laid the suitcase on the bed and opened it before taking out some clothes from inside to change his outfit.

'Thursday, so it is today...' Shuji thought to himself as he glanced at his watch.

Shuji wanted to tell Lixue that they were in Japan with their family. However, he told himself not to be clingy to Lixue because they are not in a relationship yet.

Shuji woke up when someone tapped him; when he opened his eyes, his father with a serious face was in front of him.

"We're going to see your Mama and we're going to eat at a restaurant your sister doesn't want your uncle and aunt to join us, they even offered to meet outside, but your sibling refused, so they left suddenly," Raiden said to his son.

"Miku is upset with them, Pa, and you know why you're not heartless, so I was surprised by her gesture," Shuji replied to his father.

Raiden's son came out of the room. Shuji just put on his shoes and brought the important belongings. He found his sister standing and talking to a man, which raised Shuji's eyebrows since his sister didn't mention anything about the man to him.

"Miku Liao," the full name Shuji called his sister, causing both of them to turn around.

The man accompanying him kept shifting his gaze between Shuji and the person he was talking to.

"Who is he?" Shuji asked seriously, not approaching the two sitting next to each other.

Shuji still doesn't approach the two.

"Nisan, kare wa watashi no dokyuseideari, watashi no kyukon-shadesu." Miku/Mikaelle introduced herself to the man next to her, Shuji approached and pinched his ear.

(Brother, he's my classmate and my suitor.)

"Is that why you're rushing back to Japan to see him besides Mom?" Shuji scolded her sister.

Miku shook her head at her brother and whispered to the man she was talking to.

"Ie, nisan, karede wa arimasen." Miku/Mikaelle shook her head at her brother.

(No, brother, it's not him.)

The man bowed before looking up again to introduce himself.

"Watashi wa Miku no kyukon-sha no Kashiwagi Yukiodesu...Anata wa kanojo no kyodaidesu ka? Sumimasen, kanojo ni ai ni ikimashita, watashitachiha rinjindesu, sakihodo kanojo ni aimashita." the man introduces himself to Shuji.

(I'm Yukio Kashiwagi, Miku's suitor...are you her brother? Sorry, I went to see her, we're neighbors, I saw her earlier.)

Raiden arrived just as Shuji was about to speak to the man when their father recognized him and started talking.

The conversation didn't last long because Raiden and his two children had already left to visit his wife. Miku's suitor had also left and her father was teasing him and Shuji was silent.

Lixue returned to Manila when her father also left for Palawan. Her uncle Lei arrived at their mansion from heaven to live there with his family. Lixue is not close to her uncle Lei's wife except for their children because they are not biased like the others.

Lei's eldest child wanted to accompany her cousin Lixue back to Manila. They are disciple of the angels in high positions, so their perspectives and thoughts are not narrow-minded, unlike Lei's wife who lived there but still has a narrow mind.

Lei did not agree with what her child wanted to do. He needs the help of his children to eliminate the evil spirits and demons that are disturbing the people throughout the Philippines. Unbeknownst to Lixue, there was nothing to be found in the mansion; neither her uncle Raiden, Shuji, nor her brother Miku had informed her.

Lixue learned from the maids that her godfather Raiden and his two children left yesterday. Lixue was holding two suitcases and a backpack containing her two laptops.

"Where did they go?" Lixue asked the maid who greeted her.

"We don't know, Miss Leatrice, he didn't say anything, just that we should wait for you to come back here," the maid mentioned to Lixue as she checked her cellphone to see if the siblings had sent her a message that she didn't know about.

Lixue first went to her room before she tidied up her things inside and changed her clothes. Lixue used her power and stopped time, going back to what happened the previous day when she didn't return to her family.

"Dad, let's hurry up, Mama might be in trouble over there..." Miku/Mikaelle exclaimed worriedly to her father and sister.

"I'm just talking to my secretary for a moment, dear," Raiden replied to his daughter.

Lixue sees the scenario and realizes the reason as if she were just watching TV because what happened yesterday unfolded right before her eyes. When she moved the paused time again, it returned to normal. She didn't tell the manager of the modeling agency that she was back in Manila.

The angel Godric returned to the heavens.

"It's already Friday... tomorrow is Saturday, maybe I'll just say it on Monday," Lixue thought to herself.

Lixue lay down on her bed to sleep, still feeling sleepy. She would contact her godfather Raiden tomorrow regarding the mission he had assigned to her.
