Chapter 7Making contact with Charlie Evanov proved to be easier said than done. Fiona and I visited Evanov’s apartment, with no response to our knock on the door. “Can’t catch a break on this case,” I grumbled as I piloted the squad car down the broad street. “Might as well head back to—” “Slow down.
