Aria
"Set the tables, sweetie," my Mom cooed as she finished up with her cooking.
After going grocery shopping, my mom quickly returned home.
The fact that there were six dashing guys in our house. Even though I didn't like their company, I couldn't deny the fact that they were handsome.
After setting the table, my Mom instructed me to call them over for lunch.
I reluctantly crossed the door that linked our kitchen and living room to inform them about the food.
They were currently observing our humble abode, probably judging it for being shabby and unmatched to their gigantic mansion at school or their homes.
"My Mom...food is ready," I mumbled, abandoning them as soon as the words let my mouth.
I went back to the kitchen, grabbed my own plate and dished out some food for myself then turned to leave the kitchen.
"Where are you going young lady?" my Mom questioned with a displeased tone.
"I will have mine in my room. I don't think I can eat here with your guests," I said as they walked in.
"My guests? Don't be ridiculous, sweetie. I know you like being alone but they are your friends," she muttered, insisting I joined them.
But I wasn't having any urge to listen to her because I felt uncomfortable around them, especially when Evander has been throwing dirty looks at me.
God, he is a devil. I just wish that my Mom will stop being nice to them and have them leave once they were done eating.
However, my Mom was just too nice to consider such thought in her head.
"You should listen to your Mom while she is asking nicely. It won't be good if you leave her alone in the midst of young good looking men," Vince said, beaming with a mischievous smile that caused me goosebumps.
He was right. I couldn't leave my Mom alone with these freaks. They might do something to her or even try something funny which I don't even want to think about.
They were still a mystery to me and I had no knowledge about their background not even my ex-boyfriend's identity.
All I know is that they are wealthy popular boys from the master college beside my school.
I changed my mind and decided to seat at the table with them but beside my Mom and Vince. They were the safest for me now.
We maintained an awkward quiet atmosphere until someone came barging through our door, yelling at the top of her voice.
Nelly, Sage's little sister walked into our mini kitchen, brooding like an angry peacock sprinkled with glitters.
"I swear, I am going to kill them one. Mom, please I need your help," she groaned. Nelly and Sage had the habit of calling my mom, their mom. I didn't understand why and didn't question them since they felt at ease addressing her that way.
"Sweetie, What's wrong did you pick a fight with someone again?" my Mom asked, Nelly still oblivious of the company before her.
"Yes, and it's those stupid kids living up hill in Palm springs. Oh, I f*****g hate them." she grumbled, stomping her feet angrily on the floor.
Nelly was the opposite of Sage. Sage was all sunshine and spring, filled with so much colors and loves vulgar words and foreplays. While Nelly, was the darker, angrier and colder version of the sisters.
"Tell me about it," my Mom urged, helping her with a towel.
"My friend and I were having a conversation at the sitting square when those jerks came out of nowhere and started making fun of us. Her to be precise. I don't like the way they condescendingly talked to her so I punched one of them in the face and his stupid girlfriend poured me glitters. Like what kind of counter attack is that? Sprinkling s**t like this on me," she complained under one breath.
After she was done talking, she finally realized that she was not alone with my Mom. That was the height of her anger, it blinded her in the worst way.
"Oh my God, Mom, are you hosting a bachelorette party today? Are you getting married Aria?" She asked, letting the first idea that popped into her head, fly out of her mouth.
"Don't be silly, dear. They are Aria's friends and I will be sheltering them for a while," my Mom explained.
But it was completely useless of her to do so. Nelly was just like her sister when it came to explanations. They were so dumb that it hurt me to the core whenever they let their thoughts run the situation.
"Does my sister know about this? Oh boy, I need to tell her about this. Hi, everyone, I am Nelly," she introduced.
"Just don't talk too much, Nelly. And please don't tell your sister anything. Just eat and go back home," I said, feeling a bit irritated now that another pest had joined the crew.
"Don't be mean, sis. There is love in sharing," she beamed and I couldn't help but roll my eyes at her.
"Fine, I will leave first thing tomorrow morning. So that you all can enjoy the whole space." I settled for the best solution that came in my head.
"C'mon, don't be a joy killer. Besides, I want you to come with me tomorrow. I need you to help me get my revenge on those dummies," she muttered, bumping her folded fist into her other palm.
"Boys, please, don't mind Nelly's straightforwardness. She is very outspoken and open to everyone. She is Aria's baby cousin," my Mom explained and I mumbled not anymore under my breath.
"It is nice to meet you, Nelly. I know your sister and she is pretty cool." Vince said, being the first to warm up to her. While others looked as if they didn't want to be here and wasn't ready to expand their circle.
After having lunch together, I helped my Mom clear the table and went up to my room to have a lone time to myself.
However, a certain someone had already beat me to it. f*****g Evander.
