Chapter 4
Aria
The next morning, I woke up on my bed which wasn't supposed to be since I slept off on the couch.
My clothes were still intact and nothing seemed off with me.
I got out of my bed and went out to meet Sage who was prettily munching on her breakfast. Maybe, she moved me to my room.
"Good morning, sunshine. I can see you had a beautiful night. You are radiating like the morning star. Now tell me, how does it feel to get shagged?" She asked, wiggling her brows as she chewed her waffle.
"f****d up," I answered, pouring water into a glass.
"What? He wasn't a good wanker?" Sage asked with a frown. She has no idea of what I had done and how far her assumption was from the real deal.
"Please don't make me talk about it. And no, he was good... just don't ask me anything about it. I need to eat something," I begged her and she passed me her plate of waffles and a glass of milk.
She didn't ask me any further questions until we left for school.
"See you after class," she said, before going in the other direction where her department was located. Sage majored in arts, fine arts to be precise. Aside from being all shiny and aesthetic, she was a talented artist.
I majored in mass communication, with the intent of becoming a publicist or journalist or News presenter. Either of them would do.
I matched down to my department ready to start my day anew but a strong hand whisked me out of the public and slammed me against a tree, hidden behind the a building.
His strong hand pressed down on my mouth, muffling my screams. I panicked clawing at whoever it was with my eyes closed.
"Stop fussing like a kitten, Aria," his voice grumbled and I opened my eyes to see Evander's stoic yet handsome face.
I widened my eyes in shock as he wasn't supposed to be here. He surely wasn't a college student like me but I knew he was still in school.
"If you scream, I will make sure you never see daylight again," he threatened as he slowly pulled away his hand from my mouth.
"What do you want from me, you creep?" I whispered-yelled not wanting to provoke him.
He smirked then placed the hand he used on my mouth beside my head.
"How did you like your visitation yesterday? I made sure he was extra curious," he taunted and I glared at him feeling disgusted that he had me last night.
"You devil!" I called him and he chuckled.
"Oh, little miss saint. I am more than the devil. Didn't I tell you about my radar? You should always watch your back because I will be lurking around. Always," he darkly said before he let me off.
He was a complete psycho. An animal who devours his prey to the bone.
"I don't want to have anything to do with you. Stop following me or I will report you to the police," I threatened but he burst out laughing.
"Go ahead, Miss Saint and see who gets ducked in the end," he arrogantly muttered with a dark voice that made my toes coil.
"A gentle reminder will do every day." He said then closed my eyes with his left hand and whispered, “From now on, I will be your nightmare."
I shuddered in fear and began to hyperventilate by the time I got myself, he was gone with the wind.
What the hell have I gotten myself into?
I rushed back to my class and tried hard to concentrate but couldn't because of his promise to hunt me down for the rest of my life.
Once my first lecture was over, I ran out unbearable to breathe around others.
The next place I found myself was at the field where Ivan practiced. He was ordering some newbies to do some squats while the others trained.
I was glad to see him and walked over to meet him but stopped on my track when a slender blonde girl in a cheerleader uniform slid her hand on his shoulder and touched his face.
"Aria," someone called me and it was Sage, she waved at me from the pavilion where she sat with her boyfriend.
Ivan turned to look at me but I ignored him and went over to meet Sage.
"Hey, I thought you had class. Don't tell me you are bunking the rest of your classes," she said with a gasp, surprised that I would do such a thing.
But a certain someone has made my day unbearable and I can't concentrate without thinking of his threat.
I quickly do a round check over my surrounding before feeling at ease.
"No, I just want to watch Ivan's training."
"Oww, someone is getting obsessed with a certain someone," Sage teased and I gave her a faint smile before looking forward at the field.
Ivan still had his gaze on me and was completely oblivious of the girl standing beside him.
He only saw me even in the midst of other girls who were vying for his attention.
But a part of me doesn't deserve his affection anymore. I have ruined the trust he has for me by sleeping with his cousin.
I cracked a smile at him and I lifted up my phone, pretending to take a video of him.
He returned to his training and I felt at ease not being watched by his endearing gaze.
After a while, I decided to take a real video of him. Zoomed in my camera and watched as he flexed his muscles, showing them off to me.
I blushed at his gesture and continued to video him until a certain someone came into the scream.
He looked directly at me with a devilish smile that prickled my skin and whispered something to Ivan who turned to look at me with a frown on his face.
Evander was surely keeping to his words. To torture me every single time he got the chance to do so.
I grabbed my bag and went down the pavilion ignoring Sage's call.
Today was not my day at all. I blindly rushed out of the field and bumped into Ivan in the process.
"Where are you going? I thought you came to see me." He said with a disappointed tone.
"Um, I have class right now. I will come back once I am done," I promised but he looked dissatisfied.
"Don't bother. I will be done by the time your classes are over," he coldly muttered and I felt my heart clench as he walked away from me.
Standing far away, Evander's lips curved up in a smile torturing me with his wanton gaze.
