In that moment, a ludicrous thought sprang to Evelyn's mind. ‘Could that Mr. Wealthington, mentioned by Andrew, actually be my husband, Alexander Wealthington?’
But then she laughed off the thought as absurd. ‘Alexander was just a stray taken in by my father three years ago! But then, who else in the world would be this good to me?’
She couldn't help but ask Andrew, "Mr. Wood, may I ask if your chairman is named Alexander Wealthington?"
Andrew internally panicked, knowing Mr. Wealthington had instructed not to reveal his identity. If Evelyn guessed it, could he be in trouble?
So he quickly responded, "Miss Miller, please don’t press further. Our chairman is a young heir from a prestigious family in Rome. His identity is highly confidential, and I'm not at liberty to disclose it."
