FLASH BACK ENDS
“So don't worry, if Roger goes back to Alessia that's what we are gonna do baby” Mrs Emma said to Clara.
“Okay mom,” Clara said.
“I would hand over Roger's number to the tracker to get his location, it's up to you then, all the best” Mrs Emma replied.
“Thanks mom, I Love you” Clara replied.
“I love you too baby” Mrs Emma said climbing up the stairs.
CLARA'S POV
“ I've to try my best, I won't let mom down, I've to choose a fancy cloth, '' Clara said to no one in particular as she searched her wardrobe.
“Yh this one, it would be okay” Clara said as she looked at the short skinny shorts and a crop top.
“Umm which shoe……..”
“Argh, okay this one” she said pointing at her pink sneakers.
“Then this hand bag , I'm good to go” Clara said after a thorough check on herself at the full length mirror.
“Mom, I'm done,” Clara said.
‘‘You look so beautiful” Mrs Emma said.
“Thanks mom,” Clara replied.
“Okay, he is at Oxford club partying with his friends, make sure you are safe okay” Mrs Emma said.
‘‘Okay, bye mom” Clara replied.
“Good luck” Mrs Emma said as she left the sitting room for her room.
Turning on the light Mr Desmond could be seen sleeping at the other edge of the bed.
“Hmph this old man is so annoying, how could he sleep at my favorite spot” Mrs Emma scoffed.
“Anyways Clara should be there by now” Mrs Emma murmured before lying to bed thinking about Clara and Lucas as she dossed off.
OXFORD CLUB
“Hi Roger,” a nervous Clara said to Lucas.
“Hey Clara, take a seat” Roger replied.
“Thanks,” Clara said.
“You look beautiful, how come I did not notice this before” Roger said.
“Thank you” Clara said blushing.
“You were madly in love with Alice then so you didn't notice,” Clara added.
“Forgive me, I was such a fool then,” Roger replied.
“It's not a big deal,” Clara said.
A long silence beholds them.
“This is my chance to be a billionaire,” Roger said in his head.
“So are you here with anyone?” Roger asked.
“No, I'm here to have fun,” Clara lied.
“What about we have a dance?” Roger said.
“Finally,” Clara said in her mind.
“Sure,” Clara said.
Lucas took Clara's hand as they walked up the stage where people could be dancing with their partners. As they joined the group of people dancing, the song was changed into a romantic song which Clara had requested earlier.
Dancing to the tune of music, Clara couldn't help thinking about what she and Roger are going to do together.
Thinking about only this brought a big smile to Clara's face.
After partying all night, Clara came back home by 2:00 am
Going straight to her room, the drunk Clara kept stumbling around the stairs.
“Today was such a great day” Clara said as she fell into her bed and dozed off.
NEXT DAY
“Good morning dad,” Alice said.
“Good morning dear” Mr Desmond replied.
Alice was about to take her seat when her step mom Emma spoke up.
“Are you blind, can't you greet, I'm now your mate,” Emma said.
“Ohh this set of so called things, any ways, bad morning” Alice said rolling her eyes as she sat back at the dinning.
Mrs Emma was left shocked and displeased.
“So dad I would like to take a part time job, I've already found one, and I would be going there today for the test” Alice said.
“Okay, that's good, at least you would be able to have some pocket money.
Hope it pays well” Mr Desmond asked.
“Ohh yeah Dad, I think it's 200$ for two weeks,” Alice said.
“Then it's okay, I wish you good luck” Mr Desmond said.
“Thanks Dad,” Alice said.
When Alice and were done with their conversation, a sleepy Clara was seen coming down the stairs.
“GOOD morning mom,” Clara said, yawning.
“Good morning’’ Dad she added.
“Good morning” they both chorus.
“What's wrong with you? , didn't you sleep yesterday?” Mr Desmond said.
“Not at all,” Clara replied.
“I'm famished, let's eat quickly” Mrs Emma said..
“Okay mom,” Clara replied.
Strolling down the street after coming down from the cab, I already told dad that I won't use my car today, so it was packed at home.
Putting on my head phone, I started playing music by juice world, walking down the street.
When a so-called car splashed water on me.
Removing my headphones I turned to look at the car parked not far away from me walking closer to the car.
I knocked on the window.
“Hey you i***t, are you blind? , can't you see huh” I said ready for a fight.
“Young lady please calm down, I'm sorry” the young man said.
“I should calm down, do you expect me to wear this clothes to the interview, I would surely lose” Alice yelled at him.
“I'm sorry madam” he said.
“You are sorry, huh you would pay for this” I said while fetching the mud from the floor, dropping to big mud at the front glass of his car.
I walked away not giving him a chance to speak.
DA LUCAS RESIDENCE
Upon reaching my destination, I went into the compound. It was wider and more beautiful than ours. I couldn't help but gasp.
While waiting we were told that the young master might be a little late today.
We all muttered “no problem”.
Soon enough the young master was here.
“You………….” We both said.
