"Arthur... Why are you here?" Those are the first line Asia has muttered after Garret and Arthur beat the ass of the scumbags. Before the commotion grew bigger, bouncers has entered to drag Gabriel and Oliver out of Diablo's Den. Literally throwing and kicking their ass out.
Garret apologize for the disturbing scandal and just like that, the party, the people, basically everything, it all go back to normal.
"I told him to come for you, to escort you home since he's living around your neighbourhood." Tamira answered on the behalf of Arthur.
"I'm glad I arrived at the right time. Are you alright?" Arthur checked on both women. He ain't done punching the s**t out of that Oliver guy but somebody locked him on their arms. Holding him up from killing him.
"I-I'm good. I'm fine. Tamira, you okay?"
Tamira nod her head. "I'm okay, Asia. Thank you so much, Arthur. If it weren't for you, the scumbags must have harm us."
"It wasn't all me." Arthur disclaimed then he glance at Garret who came to their rescue. "Thank you for your hand, bro."
A mere smile along with shaking hands with Arthur was Garret's answer. He usually don't go to bar at Sunday night since he's off duty. However, when he received a message from his colleagues that the woman he's dating were in Diablo's Den, Garret did not hesitate to drive himself to the place. Arriving in such situation is the least that he expected. Garret just wanted to catch up with Tamira, talk to her and not murdering some dude who's trying to assult his woman.
"Arthur, can you please drive Asia home? She's quite drunk."
"Wait, what about you?
Tamira walk closer to Asia, put her hands above her shoulder and look at her eyes. "I'm with Garret, Asia. I'll be fine. Go home, take a good rest."
While nodding, Asia whispered "okay" under her breath.
"Arthur, please take care of her. Thank you so so much."
"Of course." Arthur replied before escorting Asia out of the bar. Leaving Tamira and Garret to where they're standing.
When finally sitting comfortably on the front seat of Arthur's car, she breath in relief. Lean her nape on the head rest and shut her eyes close. It's very comfy and warm, there's no more loud music, no more dickheaded jerks, she feel safe and secured.
Silence. Arthur simply drive in complete silence because he wanted Asia to rest. It was what she needed and he don't want to exhaust her more than she already were by asking bunches of questions. Sometimes he is glancing on her, even at the dark, he could still appreciate her beauty. Asia's cheeks and nose turn rosy red, her eyes were closed highlighting her long and curly lashes. The lipstick she's wearing was ruined but nonetheless, her lips remain beautiful, luscious and inviting. How many times did Arthur dreamt of kissing Asia? Fingers on his all fours are not enough if he'll try counting those moments.
He breathed sharply before he focused his eyes on the road. Stopping himself in fantasizing this woman who were all tipsy sitting next to him. It was not easy but at least, he was able to distract his own thoughts by looking around, assessing the bypassers and the buildings along the road.
His car stopped in front of Asia's house but the woman stayed still. Eyes closed, head leaning on the window, she's not making any movements except of course to her chest that is moving in up and down motion.
Arthur tapped her in the cheeks lightly. "Asia, we're hear."
In no time, she open her eyes, regain her consciousness and body condition. She look outside the window and noticed they're finally on their neighbourhood. The next thing she noticed were Arthur. Sitting next to her, gazing at her with such softness.
"We're here." Asia sat up straight then unbuckle the seatbelt right away. "Come and drop by, Arthur. Would like to have some coffee or anything to eat?"
He smiled before shaking his head, rejecting her offer. As much as he wanted to spend more time with her, Arthur can't because this is a crucial time. Asia is drunk, and his mind that's fantasizing Asia haven't subside just yet. Being alone with her in one roof is also one of the situations he's avoiding. Arthur is always aware to all his actions but every time it's about Asia, he gets easily swayed. His head is always in turmoil and thinking straight is becoming harder.
"Okay. I'll be going first."
"Sure."
Asia open the door then hop out. "Thank you so much, Art. I'll treat you a meal tomorrow."
"Alright. See you? Tomorrow?"
She nod her head, smile sweetly then shut the car's door. When Arthur sped away, she walk toward her house. Get the key she kept on her pants and once her door flicked open, she gets in and shut it again.
She's tipsy, yes, but Asia is still a hundred percent aware to her surroundings. If walking thru a straight line would prove that she ain't drunk, she definitely would but why proving anything when she's all alone? Alone like always...
Being all by herself for the past years is also one of the reason why she start craving for a child of her own. She just wanted somene who will be with her all the time. Someone who will be her source of strength, the top reason why she must wake up in the morning and strive hard. Asia wants purpose. And being a mother to her own baby answers it all.
Deep sigh escaped her lips. Since she know very well her own house, Asia did not bother switching the lights on. While walking towards her bathroom, she's stripping off her clothes. First the denim jacket which she tossed somewhere. Did the same process to her sleeveless undershirt, pulled down the pants, kick the shoes off. By the time she reached the bathroom, the only fabric that's covering her nakedness were her pair of lacey panty and brasserie.
Asia enjoyed a short yet refreshing shower. It helped her ease the dizziness, as if the shower she had vanished all the liquors she drank. Water were dripping from her hair, she's covered with nothing but a towel that falls to her mid-thigh. Despite of her dark surrounding, she gets into her room without breaking anything. At her drawer, while picking a nighties from her clothes, the lamplight on the bedside table lits up.
She literallly flinch as adrenaline rush gets along her veins. Her body started trembling, she's too afraid to move, too scared to check out why the damn light turns on. Convincing herself that this is just a matter of electric circuit or electric stuffs, Asia finally found the courage to turn around very slowly.
Her breath hitched up and she couldn't do anything but to take a step backwards until there was no more space for another step.
"W-what the hell are you doing here?!" Asia gripped on the towel wrapped around her body. The only thing her eyes could see at the very moment is Mr. Hussain. As if her eyes were made for him and only him. There, he's sitting on a chair next to the bedside table, legs were acrossed to each other. Eyes as dark as the night while locked into hers. "How the hell did you get in?! Why are you here?!"
Mr. Hussain stood up. The expression he's wearing screams coldness.
"I waited." Rufus stated. His voice is vibrating, very whole and firm.
"W-waited for what?"
"You, of course."
Instead of taking a step far from him, she stayed leaning on her drawer. Her knees turn jelly, she might stumble if she'll try to walk away.
"Me? Why? I-It's Sunday..." Asia reasoned out.
"Who the goddamn hell told you that you can go on your own at Sundays? I paid you big time, Hermosa." Mr. Hussain stop in front of her. He raised his hand, stick his forefinger out then stroke her cheeks. Asia jerked. "My money, my rules. And I only have one rule, Hermosa. You ditch me, I punish you. Simple."
