☆☆ LILA ☆☆ I stayed upstairs for a long time, watching people move around like busy ants through the window. Even though I was away from all the bubbling and preparations, I could still feel the weight of their excitement pressing against me. After a while, I couldn’t take it anymore. I grabbed my shawl and headed downstairs, hoping to slip out before anyone noticed. But the moment I reached the front door, two guards blocked my way. “Sorry, Ma'am,” one of them said, dipping his head respectfully. “We have orders. You are not allowed to leave the house today.” My stomach sank. “What? Did Theo tell you this?" I thought about arguing with them but I did not want any attention on me "I just need to see my friend. It’s important.” They exchanged glances, uncomfortable but unmoving.
