The morning light was too bright.
It slipped through the curtains shining directly on my bed.
I sat on the couch, wrapped in a blanket even though the sun was already up. Raya and Kai had left before midnight, and I haven’t slept a minute since then. The howls had echoed all night long some far, some close I sat on the couch still replaying the sounds from last night, distant howls,
