CHAPTER 4

As Kate was about to step closer to the bar table she stopped in her tracks when she realized she can smell a familiar smell she tried to explain to Tanya about. She looked around and to see where that smell was coming from. Kate started to walk slowly trying to recogonize if it was anybody, she knew that owned that smell. She kept on loosing sight of the smell everytime she went close to the bar. That only meant one thing that the smell she knew was coming from elsewhere. Kate and her wolf Lana which she named where having silent conversations as Kate kept trying to recogonize where that exotic smell was coming from…

Lana: Can you smell that...HHMMMM MINT CHOCOLATE AND VANILLA

Kate: ofcause I can smell that Lana but why am I smelling it?

Lana: you can’t be that oblivious Kate to not know what your smelling.

Kate: oh no do you think it is….

LANA: MATE!!!!

MATE MATE MATE…. Lana kept on calling out for her Mate. Kate could not recognize or identify who that smell belonged to until she decided to run the opposite direction as she tried to avoid meeting her mate dressed the way she was dressed. Kate ended up bumping into a guy by the name of Grey, knocking the drinks out of his hands… oh he wasn’t just any Guy, to her surprise she had knocked the drinks out of her MATES Hands in which she had no clue how it would have happened. Kate didn’t hessite to long as she got up and ran off trying to avoid eye contact with not only the guy, she had pissed off but her MATE to be exact.

When Grey had turned around about to make a noise due to the mess of some clumsy person who had knocked into him causing the drinks to fall all over him and some out of his hands, His Wolf, BEAST Instantly Hissed MATE!

To Greys surprise, she was gone. He didn’t get to see her or touch her as she ran away from him.

With so much people in the crowed it would be hard for him to locate her. Grey was more disappointed than ever because he felt maybe she is scared of him…

Grey: why did she run away Beast

Beast: I don’t know maybe she was scared you would be upset with her

Grey: Impossible

Beast: you and I both know you where pissed off cause the drinks messed you. Besides you busy entertaining woman instead of looking out for your mate after all was that not the reason you came here??

Grey: Shut up Beast

Beast: You can’t take the truth, now can you? I told you time and time not to waste your time on that stupid girl Samantha, but do you ever listen to me???? NO.

Grey just growled at his wolf... he knew that Beast was telling the truth. He had blocked off his wolf and went back to his friends where they were sitting with unmated, she wolves and entertaining them.

Kate didn’t know what else to do as she continued running only to be bump into her friends Leo and Tanya.

Leo: what happened Kate

Tanya: Yeah, we thought you got lost somewhere, why are you looking so pale if I may ask you.

Kate: Its nothing guys really. Here let me have some of this… as Kate was about to have a sip of whatever was in the cup of Tanyas Leo interrupted them by pointing out some cute guy standing over in the corner as though he is looking for someone.

Leo: Whos that guy over there not to mention his fine as hell!

Tanya: what guy

As Kate looked up, she saw her brother walking their way looking ever so pissed.

FUCK this can't be happening. Both Leo and Tanya had turned to look at Kate trying to figure out why she would say what she said.

Kate: what

Leo: what do you mean what?  We should be asking you what the f**k was for!

Before Kate could answer Tanya had recognized the smell she smelt when they where at Kates house.  For some reason she couldn't understand why was it the same smell as the one by Kates house... she was so familiar with what she smelt that she didn't think twice but to say it out loud as Mark Walked on towards them... both Mark and Tanya whispered MATE at the same time looking into each others eyes... Kate couldn't have been more shocked than the others.  Not only was the one she called her lover be at the same party she was, but he was her best friends Mate to Add.  That was the night she supposed to be unwinding with all the drama she was going through.  She felt like she had been stabbed in the back by her Best friend and her lover...

Leo: omw his coming this way

As tanya made her way to her mate all kate could do was stand and watch the to bond. Deep down she knew this was what her friend had longed for but how was she to show that she was happy for her considering that she did not disclose how she felt for Mark...

Kate decides to walk away while Mark and Tanya held and danced the night away as she couldn't bear the sight. She knew this day would come but she did not know it would happen the same night she would find her Mate.  Not to forget the one she ran away from. Leo stood there while everybody was dancing, and he watched a beautiful love story unfold in front of his eyes. Kate decided to leave and go home as she was heartbroken, all she wanted to do was lock herself in the room for days on end and cry.  Knowing the heart ache, she once would feel come so soon this was something and one party, she knew she would never forget.
