“I’ll go first to make sure that the coast is clear.” Ace told, as he walked to the door and stepped out.
Clarissa seemed nervous, as she put her hands to the slightly visible bump on her stomach.
“Don’t worry Cassy, we’ll make sure to keep you safe, no one will hurt you.” I told, as I put my arm around her shoulder.
“Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad to leave this place, ‘cause I don’t want them to take me and Ace’s pup, but.. I’m just really scared Cathy, a lot of those men down there are just..” she sighed, as her hands movements became quicker.
“I know, but if they so much as try to lay even one finger on you, I’ll make sure they will regret it!” I promised, as a small chuckle left her lips.
