Chapter 5

MAIN CHARACTERS NAMED IN THE STORY:

JOHN SMITH: An American archaeologist and historical researcher. John Smith, who is especially an expert on the history of religions, is the main character of the story.

GREGORY KRAVNIK: A professor of archeology working at the Cairo Archaeological Institute, also a friend of John"s.

KATYA: Gregory"s assistant.

HARRY HENDERSON: A police chief and senior detective working in the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

BILLY JOHNSON: A police chief who is Harry"s assistant.

SARA: John"s wife.

ELSA: John"s daughter.

VLADIMYR: Sara"s father.

VALENTYNA: Sara"s mother.

MARIA: Sara"s grandmother. Maria"s husband Philip died in Russia in World War II at the age of 40, Maria, who was alone and in a difficult situation with her little daughter, emigrated to Ukraine in 1948. After living there for many years, she died in Kharkiv at the age of 84, and her body was cremated in the Crematorium on her will.

JESUS (CHRIST): The main figure in Christianity and one of the great prophets sent by God, who lived between the years 0-36 AD. Jesus Christ, the Son of Mary as to Islam and also the Son of God as to Christianity, has been one of the most influential person throughout history as an important character in Christianity, Islam and Judaism, as to all three religions. Both the Bible and the Qur"an, The Holy Book of Islam, reported that Jesus will return to the earth before the Apocalypse and fight with the Dajjal (Antichrist), the representative of evil, and kill him. Jesus Christ is the main character of all the events about the end of this story and the beginning of the Apocalypse in this book.

MOSES: One of the great prophets who lived in Ancient Egypt in the 1600s BC. After saved the Israelites from the hands of Pharaoh (Ramses II), who was the representative of the evil of that age, and destroyed Pharaoh and all of his soldiers, he had started a new era in the history. As an important character in Christianity, Islam and Judaism, Moses, is the beginning of our story in this book with the conversation he had with God in the desert and the main character of the first dialogue and conversation story between God and Man.

JESUITS: It is a mysterious sect founded in the 1500s in medieval times, introducing themselves as "Friends of Jesus". Although this sect, which was a member of many important people in history, carried out many secret activities; its main purpose was to pave the way for the second coming of Jesus and to keep secrets about it, and to transfer this secrets to future generations through paintings of famous painters and so on.

DAJJAL (ANTICHRIST): As to the Quran and the Bible, an evil person or creature with an evil character who is said to come before the Apocalypse and divert all mankind into evil. In the last chapter of the Bible, in the Book of Revelation, the Dajjal (Antichrist) is depicted as a creature who has entered human form, symbolized by the numerological number “666”. The creature appears from a country at the edge of the sea and fights to spread his evil in the around the world and to break out great wars. What it wants is to turn the world into hell.

DAMIEN JAKOBSKY: A demonic person, who was represented in the story as Dajjal (Antichrist) and initially introduced himself to humanity as an ambassador to humanity, as a high priest in a great church in the Vatican. He is the representative of Satan on Earth. In the story, Dajjal (The Antichrist) appears in the same time frame as Jesus Christ in 2036 AD and embarks on a series of dark and evil plans that will destroy all humanity.

IMPORTANT PLACES MENTIONED IN THE STORY:

CAIRO: It is a very old and ancient city that is the capital of Egypt. It was one of the most important centers of Ancient Egypt along with the pyramids near Cairo and the Nile River in Ancient Egypt and even one of the most advanced civilizations in the world at that time. The whole of ancient Egypt and Cairo were founded around the Nile River, which also pass through this city. Cairo is the starting point of events in this book.

ROME: This city, the capital of Italy and also the capital of the Ancient Roman Empire, was one of the oldest and most developed metropolises in the world. About 2000 years ago it was the center of the ancient world surrounding the entire Mediterranean. Rome is founded on 7 hills around the Tiber River, which pass through it. The names of these hills, depicted in Dante"s Divine Comedy as a 7-storey doorway to hell extending underground, are Palatino, Aventino, Capitolinus, Quirinale, Viminale, Esquilino and Celio. Rome and the Vatican are the starting points for events that will start the World War 3 in the book.

FLORENCE: Florence, the center of the art and science of the Renaissance era in the Middle Ages, is a city in Italy. It is also the capital of the Tuscan Region in northern Italy and the center of the self-named province. It was also the capital of the Kingdom of Italy for a short period. It was founded around the Arno River, which pass through the city. Florence is the final point of the events in the book.

SICILY: Located in the Mediterranean in the south of Italy, Sicily is the largest and most populous island of Italy and the Mediterranean. Sicily, which is also the largest island in the Mediterranean, is separated from the Italian mainland by the Strait of Messina. It is surrounded by numerous small islands such as Eolie, Lipari, Ustica, Egadi, Pantelleria. Located in the interior of eastern Sicily, the Etna Volcano known as the highest (3323 m.) active volcano in Europe. Stromboli and Volcano Islands are also among the active volcanoes. The city of Palermo is considered the center of the island. Other important cities can be listed as Messina, Catania, Agrigento, Siracusa, Trapani, Ragusa, Enna, Caltanissetta. Sicily, a Greek colony in the classical period, later became a province of the Roman Empire. In the Middle Ages, it respectively ruled by Vandal, Ostrogoth, Byzantine and Arab rule. It was invaded by the Normans in the eleventh century. In the thirteenth century it became a part of the Kingdom of Sicily. Then, in the 18th century, Palermo came under the Bourbon administration. After the Bourbon administration was overthrown, it became incorporated into the Kingdom of Italy and gained regional autonomy with a special Constitution in 1948. In this story, Dajjal (Antichrist) was born on this island.

POMPEII: It is an ancient city located in the autonomous region of Campania within the borders of Italy, located on the skirts of the Mount Vesuvius, near the city of Naples, whose ruins can still be seen today. As a result of the 2-day activity of the Mount Vesuvius on a hot August day in 76 AD. Pompeii has been completely destroyed and completely covered with ash and lava with all its secrets. The city, which was lost for 1700 years, was discovered by chance during an archaeological excavation in the 1700s. As a result of the excavations, it was revealed that life in the city suddenly petrified, and that even today it is still one of the rarest and most mysterious unexplained events in the world, that it has still extant completely with its people and structures in a petrified form that remains its mystery. The silver coin and ancient items containing many valuable secrets were found here in the hands of John Smith, the protagonist of our story. When Pompeii was destroyed, the great secret of Jesus Christ, transferred to the Jesuit sect, was hidden in this coin.

KHARKIV: It is a very old city located in Eastern Ukraine. Kharkiv (Kharkov) was one of the most damaged cities in the Russian region as a result of the attacks of the Nazis during the Second World War, but it recovered rapidly after the war and became one of the developed cities of Ukraine. The beginning of Sara"s story and her mother"s grave has located in this city.
