“I’ll come with you!” I told Mr. Finley and followed after him. “No, son..” he turned around and stopped after he realized he just called me son. He looked worn out and blew out a breath. “You better go back, take your mom with you.” He paused for a while. “She looked tired.” He then added while looking at mom.
Mr. Finley left both of us there. “Come on, mom,” I said, grabbing her hand.
“Where are we going?” she asked me back. “We’re going to follow Mr. Finley. We need to go to the hospital.” I said. “What? Why would we go there with him?” mom asked me back. I rolled back my eyes at her. “Seriously, mom? Kiara just had an accident. I need to see her.” I said, pulling her with me.
