After experiencing the most silent breakfast of my entire life because Chloe's parents had invited her ex-boyfriend to join us for breakfast, no one dared to speak except for Chloe's mother, who was always cheerful and good-humored, trying to break the icy situation that surrounded the table, I decided to stay in Chloe's room to give her time to talk to that jerk.
