Gabriel’s POV
Michael has been acting strangely for the past few days. Hmm, how should I say it? Like a romantic maybe? I often see him stealing a glance of Mallory once or twice whenever we’re eating together. Before, he didn't even want her to get close to him, but now he’s going near her himself. He’s even brought her with us to the church. Even I have never brought a girl to church. Well, this is better either way since we’re going to the arcade later, the more the merrier.
“So Mallory was a catholic?” I asked them while we're walking towards the church.
“Eh?” Michael reacted.
“Eh? Were you planning to bring her in even if she’s another religion?” tsk, tsk, and here I thought it was a planned out date. It seems he only know how to force people...
“I don’t think Mallory has a religion, she may be a pagan.” Raphael said holding out the small notebook that we use to converse with Mallory. He listed down quite a lot but Mallory doesn’t claim to be any of it.
“Let it be, it’s not like she’s a demon.” I said. She won’t burn or something, it should be fine.
A couple more minutes and we have reached the church. There’s quite a lot of students around the church since it is inside the campus. The mass starts at 10 am. We’re just in time. We headed straight to the entrance, but Mallory was hesitant to go in. She suddenly stopped by the entrance and grabbed Raphael while shaking her head. Raphael gave her the notebook then she wrote something while shivering.
“Got shy?” I asked.
“I stay.” was what Mallory wrote.
“It’s fine.” I wrote as well. I took her hand and tried to pull her inside, but when I saw her face, she was looking at me teary-eyed. She didn’t even hesitate to go to the storehouse before, and yet she’s almost crying now because she’s about to go inside the church. I don’t know what is there to be afraid of though.
In the end, we left Mallory at the lobby near the church.
After the mass, we went back to where we left Mallory, but when we came back, she was getting hit on. Mallory is quite a beauty after all, even if she has a swell on her forehead.
“You’ll come with us, right?” one of the two guys hitting on her said. She’s eating something, did she perhaps take their bribe?
“She won’t.” Michael tapped the guy.
“Huh? Who are you, bastard?” one of them said.
“Look, she even ate the cotton candy I bought, so f*ck off.” the other guy said.
I saw Michael clench his fist. Haha, these two asses are done for.
Hmm? Michael grabbed his wallet and pulled out a twenty-dollar bill, “Is that so? I’ll pay for it so just go.” He held back... I guess it isn’t really right to start a fight here.
“Yeah, don’t you know this guy?” I pointed at Raphael, “He beat that Aiden to a pulp.” I bragged trying to scare them away.
I didn’t really mean to, but I saw couple fight vids on the internet with Aiden included on it. That guy was awfully strong, he can carry and throw people like they’re nothing.
They took the money and ran away. Haha, Raphael told us he only punched Aiden once, but what the whole school knows is that they fought and Aiden lost to him. Such exaggerated stories are all over social media, it should be fine to use them for a better purpose.
Still, I can’t help but find Mallory so amusing, she took a cotton candy offered to her by a stranger. What is she, a kid? I can't help but laugh at Mallory’s face while enjoying the cotton candy as if she caused no trouble at all.

After that, we traveled to the mall by a chauffeur that Michael called upon. As we roamed the mall to search for our needs, Michael kept ahold of Mallory. But really, I am astounded by Mallory, she kept looking around, up and down, left and right. I’m amazed her neck isn’t hurting her at all.
After buying everything we needed, we went to the arcade. Raphael volunteered to carry the things we bought while we play. Mallory was so great at versus games. We did the shooting, glow hockey, and racing where she won. I can’t believe I got beaten by someone who didn’t even know how to play the game minutes ago. I won almost all the betting games. I sometimes see Raphael watching from the sides and enjoying himself. Michael... he wasn’t bad, but we’re just too good for his opponents, you know what I mean?
When we’re done with the games, we went to a buffet. A while ago at the arcade, we decided who will pay for Mallory’s meal using the hammer game, which I say was an unfair choice. Of course, Raphael won first and Michael second, then me third with a huge gap from both their scores. Well, it’s all good since Mallory seemed to be satisfied with it. She was literally eating non stop for almost an hour, I wonder how she even keeps those food she ate within her stomach. She’s like super thin compared to what she eats.
After the meal, I sat on a bench inside the mall. Raphael and Michael went to the restroom for awhile leaving Mallory to me. I felt full from watching Mallory eat that I couldn’t eat much so I don’t feel like going to the restroom right now.
Ding!
Someone texted me. I immediately grabbed my phone from my pocket.
I saw you with another girl. You didn’t even meet me.
Let’s break up.
It’s Liza. Ah, I remember Michael say that she’d break up with me today. She really did. Well, I guess that’s it. I kept my phone back on my pocket and then looked at Mallory who’s supposedly sitting beside me... Huh? She’s gone.
