Feeling of owning

Lily's loss

                                       Elsa's POV

After meeting with Jacob and signing the rent agreement, I left his office and decided to visit the proposed building with the interior designer and make necessary arrangements. She said it'll take a month or so  to convert the space into my proposed shop the way I  wanted. I agreed with her and made some payments. Rest of the day I spent in my apartment working  some new designs.

I laid in my bed suddenly remembering remembering my meeting with Jacob, our eye lock, the way he looked at me. Don't know why but l felt something different whenever he is around. Last night when he appeared out of nowhere I felt nervous. He looked hot and handsome  I shrugged it off maybe it's the alcohol but today, when our eyes met it felt like he is looking through me. He has that piercing brown eyes,long brown hair gelled perfectly his voice is husky and he looked hot in that suit and I like see him.' What!  Stop thinking about him you stupid he is your tenor'. 'But he is single and handsome '. I shook my head to remove unwanted thoughts and close my eyes.

Its been two weeks since my meeting with Jacob. My shop is in work in progress. I really hope it'll be finished in 2-3 weeks. Lily and me had some girls time together as Ian  was out of town due to work. We spent our weekends dining and shopping. We were in a restaurant waiting for  our food when Lily told it.

"Elsa, I'm pregnant" she has a sad face

"is It? Congratulations" I stood from my seat hugging her . I'm happy for her  this is what they waiting for. "wait, you don't seem happy.What is it?

" I'm happy. But there is something... my doctor said I need to be careful as there is a chance of miscarriage considering my past reports"she said sadly.

"Hey. Don't worry nothing  would happen " I assure her hugging her again.

I was on my laptop working on some new designs when my phone rung flashing Ian's name.

" Hello  Ian. What.." I was cut off by him

"Elsa. Can you make it to come?  Lily is in hospital,  we.... we lost our b.baby and she is in a bad stage. Please help".

"Oh. Okay. I'll be there in 10" I said hung up.

Lily's condition was miserable. Her eyes were red and swollen . She looked pale and lifeless. Ian was sitting beside her side hugging her and patting her. Jacob was also there talking to the doctor leaving the room.

Ian looked at me he looked helpless and disheveled.

  Ian excused himself and left the room. I sat down on the bed and took Lily's hand in me. She looked up at me and started crying. "I'm sorry lily. I  know it's hard but you have to be strong for you and Ian. All will be fine" I searched for words to calm her but failed.

"N.No Elsa. It is not fi.fine. I don't know why this is happening to me again and again. Oh God.  A.all I wanted is a happy life with my love and ou.our baby. Is it too much to.. Wish" she hiccups.

I hugged her tightly patting her back. "you are young Lily. You can try again, all will be fine" I don't know what else to say.

"No. The doctor said he is not sure but there is least chance for me to get pregnant again" she continued.. "Ian was tired of our continuous loss and I don't know if he even wants to be with me anymore".

"Don't think or say like that again. Ian is a  good person, he loves you. He would never think  of leaving you."

Her doctor advised her to take some rest as her body is weak as well as her mind. Ian requested me to keep her company when he is not around as she is not feeling well nowadays. So  I'm keeping her busy watching movies, playing games, some cooking, planning my shop opening as she is not comfortable in going out. But there are times I found her deep in thought.

Currently  we are watching a movie,  I  see her not enjoying the movie. So I asked her if we could change the channel? She didn't say anything.

"Lily are you here?  Are you alright? "I asked her lightly shaking her shoulder.

" Elsa, Can you be  surrogate mother of our baby?  She suddenly asked me.
