Weeks later...

I woke up with a feeling of throwing up and ran into the bathroom. Nowadays this is what I do the first thing in the morning. My morning sickness kick started and I'm really feeling sick about it.After flushing the toilet and brushing my teeth, I took a warm shower and wash off all my tiredness and got dressed into a simple yellow shirt and black leggings . I applied a pink lipstick and braid my hair.

Lily called last night to remind me of my ultrasound scan today. I already marked that on my calendar and also made a reminder in my phone before so there is nothing to forget or miss the date. Anyway. She was well aware of my morning sickness and suggest to bring breakfast today so I don't need to cook. After getting ready I took some juice from the fridge and waited for Lily in my living room. Sipping juice I turned on the TV to distract me for the time being. A knock heard and stood up and walked to the door and wide opened the door. Lily came in carrying a small basket.

"Hey! morning, you slept well? " she asked me while placing the basket on the table.

" Yeah! even though my mornings are not good. what's for breakfast? " I asked her eying the basket.

" Nothing fancy. Pancakes with strawberries and a smoothie. Come, let's eat " she took out the foods and started to put it on the plates." Mm, strawberries ". I take a seat and started to eat in no time. she sat beside me with her plate."You like it?" she asked seeing me enjoying the food.

"Yes, they're yummy " I replied stuffing my mouth. She knew I love fruits with both sweet and tangy tastes. Strawberries are my now favorites. We had our breakfast and left to the hospital.

Today Dr. Fernandez seemed busy than our previous visits. All seats out side her room filled with patients. Many with baby bumps and a few with flat tummy like her. They sat on the vacant chairs and waited for their turn. A few minutes later nurse called her name and they entered the room. Dr. Fernandez welcomed them with her usual warm smile.

"Morning Doctor " we said in unison

" Morning dear" she said nodding at us and we sat down.

"So Elsa, tell me how you doing? " she asked me and I replied her about my morning sickness and all.

She told me it's usual and there was nothing to worry as long as I ate enough. After that I had the ultrasound and she told us it's a twin pregnancy." See here, those two dark spots are the babies. I had a doubt last time but need to confirm it before tell you " she added.

"Wow! Twins?! " Lily asked eyeing the machine screen. I also stared at the screen mouth wide open. "Twins!"

"Yes, twins. And now you have to be more careful and eat well" the doctor advised.

"Is there any problem with the babies doctor? "Lily asked fear evident in her face.

" No. No. The babies are fine so far. It just in twin pregnancy you need to be extra careful and eat well so that the babies grow healthy and have a safe delivery " she said.

We talked for some time regarding the twin pregnancy. The doctor gave us the diet chart and medicines to follow up and we bid our bye.

" Twins! We are having twins Lily " I was the first to talk." OMG! This is ... " Unbelievable ". There is no limit to my happiness /excitement whatever it is you name. "But it is true. The doctor confirmed it. We are having twins. OMG! Two babies! " Lily's started to cry out of happiness of course."All these years...loosing my babies.. I even thought of why God gave me all those pains and now he filled my life with all the happiness in the world".

"Oh God, Lily stop this. It's all in the past" "It's a great news for all of us and we need to enjoy our happiness together. What you say?" I asked her wiping her tears.

"Yes. You're right . let's go" with that we pulled out of the hospital parking and drove away. We stopped at a*****e and bought what we needed for the diet. She drop me home and left.

I called my assistants to let them know that I won't be there today and told them to manage for a day. I hope they can. I took my time to rearrange my fridge and kitchen cabinets with what we bought today. I cleaned my home and washed my clothes and take a nap. It was already evening when I woke up. After freshen up I decided to go for a walk to the nearest park. Taking a bottle of juice and a chocolate bar I left my apartment.

Lily called on my way to the park and told me to join me there after her work . She reached the park in 15 minutes and sat on a vacant bench near a swing. There were children playing with the toys and a little girl was enjoying the swing near her. She touched her tummy and thought about the babies. Is there two boys or two girls or a boy and a girl? She likes girls and liked to have girl child and dress them. But Lily always wanted a baby boy as her first born and shared that with her back in college. Now that it's a twin what about a girl and a boy? in that way they both are happy.she smiled at that thought. But wait, what are she thinking. Even if she is carrying the babies, they're Lily's. She'll have hers when there is a love of her life in her life. Love. Suddenly Jacob's face came into her mind. Do I like Jacob? Yes,I do. He is hot, handsome, single? Is he single? She didn't heard anything about him in a relationship or seeing someone. Even Lily never mentioned anything like that. So she came to believe that he is single. But do I love him? What do he think of her? She was so lost in her thoughts she didn't realize someone sat beside her looking at her. She snapped out of her thoughts hearing some one clearing throat.

She thought it was Lily who told to meet her in the park, but it was Jacob who is seating beside her. Her eyes widened "Jacob? I mean Mr. Gregory?!" she stuttered.

"Hi! Jacob. It's fine . Call me Jacob" he said

"Huh? " She identified the similarity of words in her dream and stated to feel nervous. 'Dawn woman! Why you always be nervous whenever he is around.Be strong.'

"Why you here, Jacob?" she asked him hiding her nervousness.

"Oh. I always came to this park every evening for a walk. But never seen you here before" he answered looking at her blue eyes. For a moment their eyes met.

"I... I was... "Hey Elsa!" Lily's voice cut her off. Thank God! She is here.

"Brother in law? Hi" she look confused at them.

"Hi Lily " he was not happy at her interruption on his alone time with Elsa but not showed.

" I was feeling bored so thought of a walk here and Lily told me to join. So... " She said to him.

" Oh! Okay. You carry on. Bye. Bye Lily " he said side hugging Lily before walked away.

"Hey! What's going on?" Lily asked her playfully.

"What?. We just met here unexpectedly and you came" she explained and rolled her eyes at Lily.

"If there is something between you two I don't mind. In fact I would love that " Lily stated. I just stared at her. She also told they look like a couple before at the family dinner.

Do she able to read her mind? But what is in her mind?

They spent some time there before going back home.
