Kayla's smile grew wider as she leaned in, her voice taking on a conspiratorial tone. "I want you to be my spy, dear." Jasmine's eyes widened in shock. "Your spy?" Kayla nodded, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Yes, luv. I need someone on the inside, someone who can keep an eye on Knox and report back to me." Jasmine's mind raced as she tried to process what Kayla was asking. Be a spy? Report on her own child? It seemed absurd, but Kayla's expression was dead serious. "Why would you need me to do that?" Jasmine asked, her voice cautious. Kayla's smile never wavered. "Let's just say I have my reasons, dear. And if you agree to help me, I'll make sure your career takes off. You'll be the most successful designer in the city." Jasmine's eyes narrowed, her mind racing with the implications. She didn't like the idea of spying on Knox, but the promise of career success was tempting. And what could Kayla possibly want to know about her husband? "What exactly do you want me to report back on?" Jasmine asked, her voice hesitant. Kayla's eyes glinted with amusement. "Oh, just little things, dear. His comings and goings, who he meets with, what he talks about. Nothing too terribly exciting, I assure you." Jasmine's gut told her this was a bad idea, but the promise of career success and Kayla's persuasive smile were hard to resist. She found herself nodding, agreeing to become Kayla's spy, and wondering what she had just gotten herself into. "But merely looking at Knoxville, she's not someone I can easily get close to," Jasmine says, her voice laced with frustration, her eyes fixed on Kayla with a hint of skepticism. "He has created a wall between us, and I am very sure it will be hard to get information from him." Kayla's face breaks into a sly smile, her eyes glinting with amusement. "Knoxville is just doing that because he isn't free with you, make him trust you, and make him fall in love with you," she says, her voice dripping with persuasion, her hands gesturing emphatically as she speaks. Jasmine's eyes widen in surprise, her mind racing with the implications of Kayla's words. "And you mean all this won't cause him any trouble?" she asks, her voice tinged with concern, her brow furrowed in worry. Kayla's expression turns reassuring, her voice taking on a soothing tone. "Common, how can I think of hurting my own child?" she says, her hands held up in a defensive gesture. "I just want to make sure he's doing fine, that's all," she replies, her eyes locked on Jasmine's, her gaze filled with a convincing sincerity. Jasmine's eyes narrowed, her mind racing with the implications of Kayla's words. She couldn't believe what she was being asked to do. Win Knoxville's trust, make him fall in love with her, all to spy on him? It seemed like a dangerous game, one that could end in heartbreak and betrayal. "I don't know, Kayla," Jasmine said, her voice hesitant. "This feels wrong. I can't just manipulate someone's emotions like that." Kayla's smile never wavered. "Oh, come now, Jasmine. You're a smart girl. You know how to play the game. And think of the benefits - you'll be helping me, and you'll be getting closer to your dream career. It's a win-win situation." Jasmine shook her head, her mind made up. "I can't do it, ma. I won't do it." Kayla's expression turned cold, her eyes glinting with a hint of anger. "Fine, Jasmine. But you're making a big mistake." "There's no harm in trying, right? I won't have any problem even if I help?" Jasmine asked, her voice laced with hesitation, her eyes fixed on Kayla's face, searching for any sign of deception. Kayla's expression turned warm and nurturing, her eyes shining with a maternal glow. "Now, you're just talking," she said, her voice gentle and persuasive. "Just see me as your mother and be free with me. See me as your mother, because I really love you, Knoxville is my son, and you help me, and I also help you become a big actress. You'll be bigger than you ever imagine," she said, her hands gesturing expansively, her words painting a vivid picture of success and stardom. Jasmine sat upright, her back straightening, her interest piqued. "You mean, you will really help me become a big actress, Mrs. Kayla?" Jasmine asked, her voice filled with a mix of excitement and skepticism. Kayla's face broke into a warm smile, her eyes crinkling at the corners. "You should be free to call me mother," she said, her voice low and husky, her tone implying a deep intimacy. "We're going to be working closely together, after all. And I always keep my promises, dear." Jasmine felt a shiver run down her spine as Kayla's words hung in the air, her eyes locked on Jasmine, her gaze piercing. She couldn't deny the allure of her promise, the temptation of stardom and success. But she also couldn't shake off the feeling that she was getting in over her head, that she was playing with fire. "Okay, mother," said finally, my voice barely above a whisper. "I'll do it. I'll help you." Kayla's face lit up with a radiant smile, her eyes sparkling with triumph. "I knew you'd see it my way, dear," she said, her voice dripping with satisfaction. "Now, let's get started. We have a lot of work to do." As Kayla pulled out a folder filled with papers and photographs, Jasmine felt a sense of trepidation wash over her. 'What had I just gotten myself into? And what secrets was Kayla hiding behind her warm smile and nurturing tone?' Jasmine asked herself. "My dear, this is one movie, would you like to be the female lead?" Kayla asks, her voice dripping with persuasion, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "The title is 'Love Isn't All That Matters'. Are you interested? If you're interested, I will make it work," she says, her words hanging in the air like a tantalizing promise. Jasmine can't believe her ears, her heart racing with excitement. She heard about this movie from one of her friends, and she have been hoping and praying to be one of the cast members. It's a chance to work with a renowned director, to be part of a project that could launch her career into the stratosphere. "Are you for real?" She ask, her voice barely above a whisper, her eyes fixed on Kayla's face, searching for any sign of deception. Kayla's smile grows wider, her eyes crinkling at the corners. "I'm always real, dear," she says, her voice low and husky. "And I always keep my promises. So, what do you say? Are you ready to take your career to the next level?"
