Chapter Seventeen
Wednesday, 24th
After another long day reviewing plans with a client at their offices, Caroline was glad to get back to the hotel and take a hot shower. As she dried herself off the ‘phone rang. She broke into a broad smile and wrapped herself in the big fluffy towel. She grabbed the receiver.
“Joe!” She was surprised how happy she was that he was calling.
“Actually it’s your other man.” It was Ben.
“Ben?” She was completely thrown.
“Well, how many other men do you have?” He laughed. Caroline did not. She was annoyed because she knew this would be another charm offensive and also because she wanted to be talking to Joe.
“What do you want?”
