Out came a royal blue dress that resembled a royal gown. It made my eyes bigger and brighter. It was silky smooth on my skin and made me think of the bed sheets.
I hadn't worn high heels before and literally stumbled. We all stared at one another and began to laugh, which came to a sudden halt as soon as the door flung open and CJ stormed in.
" Is she ready? What's all the commotion?" he grumbled.
I just shrugged and pointed to the extremely high heels....rubbing my knee which was sore from my fall.
" You'll live! Now get a move on!". He smoothly walked out.
I was escorted to the top of the stairs and then was told to go down and turn sharp left. I stared at the huge mahogany staircase. There was a left and a right side. The stairs were covered by a thick deep red velvet carpet. The chandelier above glistening and as I lifted my dress I noticed my shoe sparkle. Carefully, I held my dress turned back and nodded at Tiffany who smiled and whispered: "go on sweet girl."
I arrived and tried to push open the heavy wooden door. Well I tried both sides as there was two heavy doors. I tried pulling too.
Nothing!
This is crazy I thought to myself.
Then a man appeared looking stern and shrivelled from old age.
" The doors will open when they are ready for you. Be patient!."
Suddenly, the doors opened revealing a huge ballroom style large room. Mirrored and from what my eyes could see 4 chandeliers, massive bouquets of white orchids and silver balloons everywhere.
As I took my first step into room:
Wait! what was that large marble desk looking thing with a large knife and goblet doing in the middle of the room to my left. The orchids on either side were blood red.
There were so many people I instantly felt embarrassed as all eyes were on me. I felt naked and exposed. I wanted to turn around and flee. Through the crowds, CJ appeared and started to approach me, giving me a quick kiss on the cheek.
I instantly blushed he slipped his arms through my bear arm and began to walk forward towards the table. We reached the white marble table and then a man appeared opposite us.
"We are gathered here tonight...."
I instantly interrupted.
" No excuse me! There must be some kind of misunderstanding! I don't want to get married! I, I, don't really know or want to be here ....!." I began to lose my voice sounding much like a shy child.
I looked up at CJ hoping for some understanding. But the man in front of us proceeded not taking my words into any account. I tried pulling away but CJs grip tightened.
"Silly girl thinks this is a wedding!" sniggered a female voice, ever so slightly, making me think I was hearing voices.
My inner voice was screaming at me. Run you fool. If this isn't a wedding what on earth was this? On and on my voice kept nagging with urgent persistence.
I hadn't heard a single word from the bald man in front chanting.
Everyone in the room started to mutter words too. Great! I had entered some sort of cult I thought and surely they will sacrifice and eat me.
The man picked up the goblet and CJ turned and told me to drink.
He sensed my refusal and grabbed my cheeks squeezing hard so that my mouth formed an O shape. It was painful his tight grip. Another hand from behind pulling my hair slightly holding my head back. Tears started to form. Why was this happening to me. Who were these horrendous people.
I tasted this cough like syrup, bitter which numbed all my mouth and instantly began to warm my throat and hit my stomach. The warmth spread throughout my entire body.
I felt so happy and calm.
I looked up at CJ who relaxed his grip and I began to drink greedily from the cup. I shook my head free from the hand behind and leaned forward grabbing the goblet to drink it all in. This stuff was amazing.
"I want mo, mo, more pleeeease!"
I began to hear strange sounds and suddenly the woman on my right fell to the floor and began to change. She began to shape shift.
I felt so out of it. I thought I must be hallucinating. I turned further around and everywhere where clothes, gowns, shoes and no humans. Just wild, beastly looking wolves.
