I stared down at Khyrix’s unmoving body, my hands trembling where they rested against his burning shoulders. My mind scrambled, trying to process the absurdity of the situation.

I swallowed hard "Help me!" I screamed into the empty forest, my voice cracking against the howling wind. "Someone help!"
"Hello." The voice called out from the phone.
"Hey." I choked out, tears clouding my vision "Alpha Khyrix ...he collapsed." Natalia didn't wait for me to stay another word before the call was disconnected.
