AVELORA The earth was spinning in the wrong direction, and my insides were tracking right along with it. I felt different types of urges, to throw up, run, or just spontaneously combust into dust right there on the floor. When Khyrix pushed open the double doors, the air in the hallway vanished. My palms broke out into a cold sweat, and goosebumps prickled across my skin. My eyes immediately scanned the room. Khyrix had warned me that twelve council members would be present for this meeting.
