The Lycan King Lucian

Lysandra and the rest of the team reached Tarsus precisely at 5:30 PM. The city exuded an unusual aura, giving off an eerie feeling. Its structures appeared visibly aged, revealing their history which spanned over a hundred years when closely inspected. Not a single skyscraper punctuated the city's skyline, and the transportation services were scarce. Tarsus had only a handful of streetlights, which further added to the already creepy and dark atmosphere. The group found lodging at an inn that had been arranged beforehand by Seraphina. As the night deepened, darkness embraced the interior of the bar, casting long shadows across the room. Amidst the faint glow of dimly lit lamps, the atmosphere held an air of mystery and intrigue. Two men, cloaked in large black coats that seemed to swallow the surrounding light, sat at a secluded table in a corner. Matching black hats covered their faces, casting a shadowy veil over their features. Their piercing eyes remained locked on a young woman, who stood out amidst the group of four individuals gathered nearby. "Are you certain she's the one, Leopold?" inquired a hefty man with fiery red eyes and a bushy mustache. "Yes, I am certain, Magnus," replied Leopold, his lean frame a stark contrast to Magnus's imposing figure. "Hmm, she's even more stunning than I had anticipated," the large man remarked, a mischievous grin curling upon his face. "Indeed, our Lord Alucard will surely find great pleasure in her presence," Leopold replied, a chuckle escaping his lips. "We should proceed with our plan now. It seems there are no demons lurking in this bar today. Lady luck must be smiling upon us," Magnus remarked with a tinge of disappointment. ""Hahaha!" Leopold laughter echoed through the bar, filling the air with sheer amusement and delight. Magnus, however, was not so easily swayed by Leopold's amusement. His longing for excitement still burned within him, evident in his voice as he called out, "Hey, I'm serious! I was truly hoping for some real action." Leopold laughter subsided, and he turned his attention to Magnus. "Relax. There's no need to worry. Look around closely. Do you see them? There's a Lycan, a witch, and a demon in this very bar. I have studied their behavior carefully and can discern their presence." A glimmer of anticipation sparkled in Magnus eyes. "Is it that girl with the brown hair? The brat? She reeks of Lycan stench, doesn't she?" Leopold nodded, affirming Magnus astute observation. "she is the one. The girl was most likely sent by Lucian, the Lycan king. However, the identities of the witch and the demon elude me for now." Magnus wide grin stretched even further across his face. "You're right! Whoever it is, they are undoubtedly skilled. It seems fate has granted me the action I yearned for after all." Just as they prepared to rise from their seats and approach the group, an intense sensation washed over them, freezing them in place. It was as if a piercing gaze had pierced through the veil of reality, momentarily halting their movements. Leopold felt a chill run down his spine as he locked eyes with a fiery redhead who emanated a powerful aura. The intensity of her gaze sent shivers coursing through his body. Meanwhile, Magnus, though sweating profusely, maintained his trademark grin, with an undying spirit that refused to waver. Caught in the grasp of that powerful gaze, Leopold confusion deepened. Who could possess such intensity, such power? As he struggled to comprehend the source, a flicker of realization washed over him. It was clear that they had underestimated the extent of the forces opposing them. This was no ordinary encounter. The stakes had been raised, and the very balance of power teetered on a knife's edge. "Excuse me, darlings, I'll be right back," Seraphina announced abruptly, causing a surprise to ripple through the group, though one among them remained unfazed. "Woah, hold on! It's not safe to venture out. We don't anything about this place," Said Lysandra, her brows furrowing with concern. With a chuckle Seraphina waved off her worries with an exaggerated roll of her eyes, accompanied by a mischievous smile. "Oh, come on darling. I'm just stepping outside for a breath of fresh air. I need a break from the creepiness of this place." Kyle chimed in, his voice partially filled with apprehension. "Just be careful, seraphina, and don't be gone for too long." Seraphina nodded, and before anyone could respond further, she swiftly exited the group, her pace carrying a hint of urgency. "f**k, I hope she doesn't go looking for trouble. That's the last thing we need in this already creepy place," Albert grumbled, his lips pouting in a display of worry. Lysandra couldn't help but chuckle, finding Albert distress endearing. She reached out and lightly pinched his cheeks. " you're such a cutie when you're concerned." Albert, taking Lysandra's playful gesture as an opportunity for flirtation, waggled his eyebrows. "Ah, but I am even more adorable and cuddly in bed." Before he could revel in his joke, he received an unexpected smack at the back of his head. "What the hell, kyle?" he exclaimed angrily, rubbing the spot that stung. Kyle however displayed an amused smirk and shrugged nonchalantly. "Just a friendly reminder, buddy. Keep your mind out of the gutter, especially in times like these." ***** The two towering men, Leopold and Magnus, stealthily followed seraphina as she exited the inn. The sense of power emanating from her made it unmistakable that she was the witch they had sensed earlier. Glancing at each other, they knew they were about to face a formidable adversary. Seraphina, ever the mischievous one, wore a sly smirk as she addressed both intimidating men, her voice filled with playful taunting. "Oh, it seems even the vampires desire my darling Lysandra. I wonder if this was Alucard's doing?" Leopold, his patience wearing thin, responded sharply, his voice laced with irritation. "Stay out of our affairs, witch. It's none of your business." Impatience fueling him. "You're quite the loud one aren't you?," She tilted her head to the side as though mocking him. Enraged he lunged towards the red haired witch with lightning speed, holding two daggers firmly in his grasp. But just as he closed in, a searing pain jolted through his head, causing him to scream out in agony. Caught off guard by Leopold sudden pain, Magnus, fueled by worry and rage, charged at the witch wielding a massive axe. But before he could land a blow, a powerful punch sent him hurtling backward through the air, blood spewing from his mouth upon impact. Confusion and anger clouded Magnus thoughts as he realized it was Leopold, his trusted friend, who had attacked him. "What the f**k? Leo, you filthy witch! What have you done?" he seethed, veins bulging with unimaginable rage. The witch, seemingly unfazed by the chaos she had incited, taunted them with a cold smile. "Your friend has become my dolly doll, a mere action figure for now. Definitely not sexy enough to be a s*x toy," she chuckled, her words dripping with twisted amusement. Enraged at her callous mockery Magnus roared in anger, ready to charge once more. But something shifted within him, a chilling sensation, an unfamiliar emotion that had been dormant for centuries, suddenly surged to life. Fear. Before Magnus could act on his renewed sense of fear, a deep, commanding voice reverberated through the air, causing Seraphina to divert her attention from the vampire towards the newcomer. The sheer power and dominance exuded by the voice sent shivers down everyone's spines. "Lucian," Seraphina uttered, her usually composed demeanor replaced by wide-eyed surprise.
