You're awake

Seraphina had made her way to Master Damien's castle two hours before midnight as instructed by Levi. She was met with the news that she needed to wait until after the resurrection, so she patiently bided her time. When midnight finally arrived, Levi signaled for her to enter the cave, where he found Lysandra suspended in the air, unconscious. Albeit Seraphina was filled with joy at the sight of the man she had loved for centuries, deep down, she felt a sense of sadness. She knew that Damien had never reciprocated her feelings and likely never would. Yet, she clung to the hope that maybe, just maybe, he would eventually come to love her. It was a foolish and naive thought, but it served as a coping mechanism to shield herself from the reality that the being she adored was a cold and emotionless creature incapable of love. "Welcome back Master Damien," She greeted him, a wide smile gracing her gorgeous face. Damien, emanating power and dominance with every word he spoke, inquired, "Is that the girl?" His voice carried weight, capable of compelling anyone to submit to his commands with its mere sound. "Yes, my Lord," She said, bowing respectfully. Damien gracefully approached the unconscious girl, who floated in the air. He gently caressed her cheeks and chin with his long fingers. "She's quite beautiful," He said before turning his gaze to Levi "Why did you change your plans, Levi?" he asked, knowing the answer already as he had consumed Levi's blood to gain knowledge. "I discovered on the plane that there was a light bringer with them. Lucian had learned about the girl and was heading to Tarsus to take her, so I decided to let him handle it," Levi explained, his face impassive. "Lucian van Helsing," Damien sneered. "That still doesn't explain everything, Levi. Seraphina could have easily dealt with the light bringer." "Rumors say she can kill an immortal," Levi said, shocking everyone, including Damien. Damien approached Levi, intrigued. "Why do you say that?" "I purposefully cut Lysandra on the forehead, hoping that Lucian would make direct contact with the wound. His skin burned upon impact and took a long time to heal. Additionally, the fact that she was protected by a light bringer proves she is indeed what they say she is," Levi explained, his gaze fixed on Damien. Damien towered over Levi, glowering at him. "Kill her," he ordered, causing a stir among the others present. Levi remained calm. "Though she poses a threat, she would be more useful alive. You can finally kill Lucian, then deal with her. She would also be needed for your plans." "The prophecy says she will bring about your doom, my Lord. It would be foolish to keep her alive," Chaos Ezekiel argued, joined by Chaos Eli. "The prophecy only speaks of bringing an end to darkness. It can mean many things," Alucard remarked with a smirk chewing on his fingers "And who is Darkness?" Chaos Eli asked. "We all embody darkness, chaos. It could mean the end of any one of us. There's no way she could possess a power strong enough to kill Master Damien. It's simply impossible," Alucard stated confidently, infuriating the chaotic siblings. Damien dismissed their concerns. "Then we wait for one of us to meet our end?" "It could mean anything," Alucard replied calmly, locking eyes with Levi. Damien turned to Asmodeus. "What do you think?" "Levi and Alucard are right, my Lord. No one can kill you, not even the greatest fragment of light. And, as Levi mentioned, she would be important to your plans," Asmodeus concluded after careful consideration. "Take her to an empty chamber," Damien instructed Seraphina. He then turned his attention to Delilah, tracing his fingers along her face. "Still as beautiful as ever," He smirked gorgeously, "You'll do for the night," He added before walking away, their hands intertwined while Seraphina burned in jealousy. Alucard approached Levi shortly after Damien had departed with Delilah, the others, including Seraphina. He walked with grace towards Levi, a slight smile playing on his lips. "Why didn't you inform Damein about my vampires?" Alucard inquired, leaning against a pillar and watching Levi with narrowed eyes. Levi remained unresponsive, continuing to stroll past Alucard towards the grand golden doors leading to the exit. "I'm sure you must know by now why they were there," Alucard said, gripping Levi's shoulders to halt his steps. "Do not interfere. I am not as lenient as Asmodeus," he warned calmly. "Do as you wish," Levi offered an indefinite reply, leaving Alucard puzzled for a moment before releasing his hold on Levi's shoulders. "I take it you don't care, Levi," Alucard said, narrowing his eyes dangerously. "Hmm," Levi merely replied. "How did you hide it from Damien?" Levi asked calmly, still perplexed as to how Alucard had managed to conceal his plans from Damien, given that he had consumed Alucard's blood during his awakening. "That's not something you should concern yourself with," Alucard responded with an arrogant smile. The golden-haired, golden-eyed creature stared at Alucard briefly before nonchalantly exiting, further fueling Alucard's frustration. Nevertheless, he remained composed. Moments after Levi left, a figure materialized from the shadows. "I don't trust Levi, Alucard. We should deal with him," a delicate woman with white hair and blue eyes stated. "I know, Anna," Alucard sighed. "I have a plan," he added, his smirk filled with malice. "Whatever it is, we have to act fast," she noted, heading towards the exit. Alucard didn't respond but silently followed her, lost in thought. ***** It was sunrise when Lysandra regained consciousness after her collapse from the unimaginable events she had experienced. She had learned that her best friend wanted her dead, that her close friend Kyle was a light bringer, whatever that meant, and night and supernatural creatures like vampires, lycans, demons, and even dragons did exist. It was all too overwhelming, and she tried to convince herself that it was all just a dream. Yet, as she embarked on her journey to prove the existence of transcendent ancient creatures, the weight of it all became too much to bear at once. Rubbing her tired, hazy eyes, Lysandra realized that she was in an unfamiliar place. The room she found herself in was peculiar, a large, unusually spacious chamber with intricate silver designs adorning its dark walls. The room was eerily empty, save for a massive bed situated in the center. Determined to get up, Alicia made a move. CLANG! The echo of metal clashing against metal reverberated through the vast, silent room. Lysandra traced the sound and discovered chains shackled to her left wrist. Her eyes widened with the realization that she had been bound to the bed, sending a surge of panic through her as she believed she had been kidnapped. Frantically shaking her hand, she attempted to free herself from the restraints, but her efforts proved futile. She began to scream, desperate for help. "HELP!" "IS ANYONE THERE?" "WHO ARE YOU, AND WHAT DO YOU WANT?" "HELP!" Her cries continued until the door abruptly swung open. A menacing man, emitting an aura of fear and danger, entered the room. "You're awake," he stated with a dangerous smile on his perfectly sculpted face.
