Lysandra eyes widened in sheer shock as she found herself face-to-face with a towering figure, Panic surged through her as she took in the sight of her unconscious friends, along with the inn workers, strewn about the room. Trembling, fear made it difficult for her voice to come out steady and clear. "W..who are you?" she managed to stutter, her voice barely above a whisper. Lucian, attempting to ease her nerves let out a softened smile, despite his imposing stature, Lysandra couldn't help but notice that he possessed a striking attractiveness. His flawless pale skin, dark hair, and black eyes paired with a well-groomed mustache and neatly-trimmed beard made him undeniably handsome. However, her eyes caught sight of something alarming, Lucian's long claws were still extended, stained with a dark, crimson hue. Fear gripped Lysandra at the sight, and her voice quivered with a sense of urgency. "Your hands," she uttered, her voice laced with terror. Following her gaze, Lucian glanced down and realized that his menacing claws were still exposed and drenched in Serafina's blood. "f**k" he Lucian inwardly cursed, frustrated with his own carelessness. "Gabriel, get me a handkerchief," he commanded his beta. "Wh... What did you do to my friends? What is it you want?" Her voice trembled with uncertainty. "I did nothing to your friends," Lucian calmly reassured, accepting the cloth and using it to wipe the blood from his fingers. "Relax, this isn't their blood. It's seraphina." He held Lysandra's gaze, mentally bracing himself for her potential reaction. "Seraphina?" Lysandra echoed, her eyes widening with a mixture of surprise and disbelief. "Yes, she's trying to kill you. She's not what you think she..." "Let her go, Lucian." Suddenly, a voice interjected, breaking the tense atmosphere. Lucian shifted his gaze to the source and found himself taken aback. It wasn't Raven, as he had expected, but one of Lysandra's friends, Kyle. Golden wings unfurled from his back, and a long spear adorned his right arm. "A fragment of light?" Lucian questioned, astonishment etched across his face. Lysandra too, stood speechless, her eyes locked on the man she had known for over four years, now transformed with otherworldly wings and a formidable weapon. "What the f**k is happening?," She muttered "Come to me, Lysandra. Let me take you somewhere safe," the blonde-haired, brown-eyed man urged, his voice filled with concern and determination. "Kyle? What..who..why are you.."she asked unable to form a coherent word "Dont worry Alicia I will explain everything but first we have to get some where safe." he said with a smile "SHE'S NOT GOING ANYWHERE!" Lucian said out loud making Lysandra flinch "Stay away creature of darkness." "Gabriel take her away and keep her safe." he ordered "Are you really going to fight against a lightbringer Lucian?." he asked with concern "I'm immortal gabriel, he can't kill me, by the way something is definitely amiss with this whole thing, I can tell he's definitely alone." he said with a frown "and why do you care about keeping her safe lightbringer? How his she connected to you fragments of light?." He asked through narrowed gaze. "That is none of your business filth, know your place and leave immediately." Said the Lightbringer "Don't worry you will be safe, go with Gabriel." He told Lysandra "But... but he's Kyle." She said with shaky voice. She had come to tarsus in search of inhumane creatures when she had been next to one the whole time. "Kyle..i don't understand," "Lysandra, the Kyle you knew never existed," he spoke calmly, running his fingers through her hair in an attempt to soothe the confused and worried girl. "I'll come find you when this is all over." Lysandra's eyes flickered towards her unconscious friends, "I can't leave them behind," "Men, get her friends away from here," Lucian ordered the three lycans standing nearby. "I'll come find you." He tenderly patted Lysandra's head before darting off at lightning speed towards Kyle. Confusion struck Lysandra as she watched the seemingly inhuman speed displayed by Lucian. "How can he move like that?" she asked, her voice filled with bewilderment. "Come, miss. We must leave now," Gabriel said, grabbing her wrist and lifting her up, carrying her in a princess-like manner. They swiftly exited the inn, though at a much slower pace in consideration of Lysandra's fragility. Concern etched into the beta's face, he was followed by the three other lycans, ensuring her safety. Anger consumed Kyle, breaking his usually calm demeanor. "GET OUT OF MY WAY, YOU DARK CREATURE!" he roared, witnessing Lysandra fleeing alongside the lycans. With a powerful strike, he slammed his hand forcefully against Lucian's forehead, causing the impact point to shatter, launching Lucian several meters away. Kyle immediately rushed after the fleeing my lycans when he was thrown like a rag doll by lucian towards an empty room,he coughed out a large chunk of blood during impact and immediately got on his foot launching himself towards Lucian. Lucian, unable to hold back his own aggression any longer, transformed into his colossal black Lycan form and lunged at the attacking lightbringer. Spears clashed with claws mid-air, unleashing a shockwave that instantly shattered the surrounding building. But the destruction did little to halt the savagery of the two battling beasts. They continued to tear, claw, shred, and stab with unbridled fury. Amidst the ferocious clash, Kyle, though battered and bleeding, managed to seize a moment of advantage. Plunging his spear deep into the giant Lycan's neck, he conjured a tremendous ball of blinding white light. With an explosive release, the ball rocketed towards the Lycan, propelling it through the air, causing bones to shatter upon impact. "Go back to your empty castle, Lucian," Kyle gasped, breathing heavily. His words seemed to further incite the raging beast. In a blink of an eye, it appeared before Kyle, mercilessly rending his once beautiful golden wings and sinking sharp canines deeply into his throat. The monstrous Lycan shook him violently, causing Kyle to scream in agonizing pain. Finally, with a brutal toss, the Lycan discarded him, tearing away a sizable chunk of his throat in the process. The battered Kyle still tried to get up and fight when he felt a hand digging through his chest grabbing his heart and squashing it, Kyle took a last look at Lucian who was now in his human form" Pathetic little dog" he said through gritted teeth "f**k off!" Lucian spat at the defeated lightbinger "Forgive me my greatest fragment of light, I have failed you" he added with tears streaming down his cheeks as he fell on the bloodied ground and breathed his last breath.
