CHAPTER 17Len It was awkward, standing in line at the zoo’s entrance the next morning. Sarah stood a little apart from them, not speaking, with her bag slung over one shoulder. Len didn’t know what to say. “You could put that in the stroller, if you want,” he said at last, just to say something. “Then you wouldn’t have to carry it.” “I’m fine.” Sarah glanced at the stroller.
