Acelynn’s POV

I sat on my bed, radiating anger. How could he accuse someone of just wanting me for s*x when he used me and then got rid of me. Tears sprang to my eyes as I realized how stupid I had been to mate with him. No other male wolf would want me now, and because of the safety issues, I wouldn't be able to leave the palace grounds for a long time. 

There was a knock at my door, and it opened to reveal Holly. "Sorry to disturb you, but the King has requested that I let you know that there will be dinner tonight and that you should dress for it," she said, smiling at me politely.
