I had just returned from a meeting with my chief when a call came into my phone. Initially, I wanted to ignore it and return the call whenever I returned home but then, I was pretty much done with work and was about tidying my desk so I could finally return home. I longed so much to be with Alexis. Sadly but good as well, Lily had finally been stable enough to resume work. It was her first day today, and we had taken Alexis to mom's. In as much as I felt tempted to convince her about staying home for some more days, I couldn't deprive her of going to work, just so she could be with my daughter.
