WILLIAM'S POV
"Happy birthday dear Alex, happy birthday to you!" We all chorused happily. Alexis had just turned one and I was so happy because she was growing quite fast and really smart for her age.
"Make a wish." Mom teased. Alexis had clearly not began talking yet, so how could she make a wish? I was still thinking to myself when the sounds Alexis made, called back my attention.
"Uhh?" It sounded like she was trying to say 'huh?' Deciding to go with the flow, I smiled widely at her.
"Grandma wants you to make a wish." I said, making her look at me with wide eyes. After a few seconds, she shook her head, as if trying to communicate that she didn't understand what I had said.
"Da-da?" What? Had Alexis just said her first words?
