I walked into the room exhausted. Closing the door behind me with a soft sigh. Sloane turned from her desk, her eyes lighting up the second she saw me. “Kim!” she gasped, half standing. “Wait—how are you already here? I thought you were walking!” I blinked at her, then gave a small laugh as I tossed my bag onto the bed. “Yeah, about that...” Sloane tilted her head, arms crossing as she looked at me suspiciously. “Adrian showed up,” I explained casually, kicking off my shoes. “I couldn’t keep walking.
