The morning sun shone into the room from the half-drawn blinds, too bright for my liking. My head throbbed faintly, but at least I wasn't sweating buckets or trembling like I did yesterday. I sat up, slower than I should have, and wrapped the blanket tighter around me. Across the room, Sloane zipped up her tote bag and glanced over at me, her brows pinched together like she'd been waiting for me to move before saying anything.
