Ethan Mwangi arrived on the bustling university located in the outskirts of a small urban town; his heart pounding with pleasure ,excitement and trepidation. The new institution was a world different from the primitive traditional village.Again, modern infrastructure described the institution better, meanwhile, students bustled about, their chatter blending with new diverse personalities.
Clutching his suitcase in one hand and a folder of admission documents in the other, Ethan paused to take it all in. This was it—the place where dreams were made, where he’d carve a path not just for himself but for his entire family. His parents had sacrificed so much to see him here, and he couldn’t let them down.
“Lost already?” a cheerful voice cut through his thoughts. Ethan turned to see a young woman standing a few feet away, her braided hair catching the sunlight. She wore a bright smile and a lanyard that read Orientation Volunteer.
“I guess you could say that,” Ethan replied sheepishly.
“I’m Sophia,” she said, extending a hand. “Welcome to campus. Need help finding your way?”
Ethan shook her hand, feeling a spark of warmth he couldn’t quite explain. “Thanks, Sophia. I could definitely use some guidance.”
Little did Ethan know, this seemingly innocent encounter would mark the beginning of a journey that would change his life forever.
