Chapter 1

Maria's POV

We finally arrived at the vacation house and quickly put our things into our rooms.

I then look around into the house and found Kakeru with my sister Yurari. They are already watching tv. I sit next to my sister.

What are you guys watching?

"It's a Thai horror movie called Shutter. It is really scary". Kakeru said.

Oh.. I already watch that movie. I'm gonna leave both of you here. The scariest part is about to come.

"Please don't leave us Maria. Wait till the scariest part happened". My sister told me.

So i stay not only for my sister but for both of them of course. I just don't want Kakeru to be so scared because i left them right after the scariest part of the movie. But then, the scariest part happened and i am the most shocked because i saw my sister clinging to Kakeru so tight that i almost explode of anger. Kakeru actually didn't care because he is so amazed of the movie. I wish i was my sister for a moment there. After that i decided to come to the balcony upstairs and just look at the view outside. When suddenly.....

Hey!! A smooth guy voice speaks to me.

Eh!! Maiki! I thought your not gonna come here?

Well! The only reason why i am here is because my father told me you and your family are going to be here.

Really? Thank God you decided to come. It's gonna be so boring without you here.

Are you serious?

It's because if you are here i can talk to someone. That's all. Are you thinking of something else?

No. I'm just happy that you actually needed me. Now, i thank my parents that they kept telling me to go with them. Because if they didn't, i will never know you needed me that much.

Maiki! Don't be so dramatic. Let's go outside and play some volleyball. It seems like there's a volleyball net out there near the beach.

Facts About Maiki

Maiki is actually my cousin. Me, Maiki and my sister Yurari is always been together since we were young since our house is just beside each other. Well, he is my bestfriend but i am so afraid to tell him that i like Kakeru. He kinda hate him and i didn't know why.

*At the nearby beach*

We borrow a ball from the owner of the vacation house so that we can play volleyball.

Let's start the game then. Maiki said.

While Maiki and i is playing volleyball. Kakeru and Yurari suddenly came.

Can we play with you guys. Yurari said.

Of course. It's more fun that way. Maiki said.

So Maiki and i decided to stop playing for a while and play Rock, Paper, Scissor Game. Whoever have the same shape of hand would be the partners. We try and try until finally we have a match. Maiki turns out to be my partner. I kind of feel bad because i really want Kakeru to be my partner but i know i have a better chance of winning if my partner is Maiki. So i just go with the flow. Even though i didn't really want Kakeru to lose. Life is just so unfair. I hate it so much.

We started playing and just like what i predicted, Maiki and i is winning.

Suddenly the heavy rain starts to fall down and all of us decided to stop playing volleyball and just run towards the vacation house as fast as we can. No one lose or win in that game which i most prefer.

We all decided to just watch a tv show with our parents after that.

*At the living room.*

Can we change the channel. This movie is so boring. Yurari said.

Don't say that Yurari. This is what older people like us prefer to watch. You kids should go to your rooms and just play on your phones. Mom said.

I kinda like the movie though. Maiki said.

I like it too. Kakeru said.

At this time. I didn't know what to do. If i should go with my sister or continue watching the boring movie. I kinda wanna stay here and watch movie with them because Kakeru is here but i also don't wanna stay here because i would definitely just fell asleep because of how boring the movie really is. I guess i should just go with my sister. I can just talk or be with Kakeru later.

*At our room.*

Thank GOD, There's an air conditioner here.

You said it right. Yurari said.

By the way, Yurari! Do you perhaps like Kakeru?

Of course i did. If Kakeru is not here. I would rather stay at home than here. Yurari said.

Do you like him as a friend or more than just a friend?

Why are you asking me that?

I'm just curious. That's all.

Well, just like i said earlier. I did like him but not more than friends.

But, you acted like you like him so much though.

Does it really matter if i really like him more than a friend or not?

I guess not.

After that both of us just decided to mind our own business. Since Yurari said that she really doesn't like Kakeru as much as i did. I really need to tell him what i really felt about him. Before we come back home.
