Bearing ReinThey arrived in the hotel car park twenty minutes later. Hana navigated the winding route with practiced ease but kept her speed lowered to allow Chester’s mother to follow them. She wound down her window and pointed at the guest car park before she made the turn into Logan’s space. Someone else had parked in hers and she passed the problem onto her husband.
The children disembarked without fuss, used to Hana’s lectures about car parks and distracted motorists. But Chester’s mother showed no control over her son as he barrelled from the vehicle even before the wheels ceased rolling.
