"So you chose me?" Paul asked on the way to work.
"No, I did not choose you, Paul. I am not ready to confront Ben. It's too much."
"Okay."
We sat in silence for a bit and I finally asked him to talk and explain what he wanted to explain in the first place.
"That's why I asked you to ride with me, isn't it? Okay then. Where do I start?"
"How about at the beginning? How did you meet Skye and when?"
"You know when I said that I moved here a couple of weeks ago? That was a lie. I lived in Seattle. I met Skye three months ago and she is my mate. She told me about Ben and the trouble they are in and that we don't stand a chance. That is why I moved here. To be near her."
