TAYLOR FISHES, “You and Julie discuss the plan last night?”
She left his quarters at 2200, and thoughts of their time together linger. Parker dodges the buried question, “Yeah, we went over most of the details. Of course, as we firm things up, we’ll need to appraise her of developments.”
“So, you won’t share details, huh?” Taylor chuckles.
“I don’t know what you mean.”
“Sure. All right, I’ll just ask Julie. Then again, I’ll ask Becka. She and Julie share everything.”
Parker shrugs, all innocence. “We had a lovely evening.”
“One you want to repeat?”
“Hey, we have work to do. If you must know, yes, I want to repeat it.”
