STAFF SERGEANT GRUNER enters the stockade. Two Security Forces airmen stand guard next to a holding cell, which contains the facilities manager.
“Mr. Jones, we’ve yet to formally meet.”
“Who’re you? Why did you bring me here? This is illegal. What about my rights?”
“The Patriot Act says you gave up your rights when you became a risk to national security.”
“I don’t know anything, and you have nothing on me. I want out of here.”
“Well, we’re in for a long talk, so you’d best get comfortable.”
Gruner strides into the adjoining office and speaks with the lead airman, “Did the guards secure Jones’ phone?”
“Yes, sir.”
Gruner calls the OPS Center, “I need a cell device checked out immediately. All outgoing and incoming calls.”
“Of course, sir.”
