THE GENERAL STRETCHES and gets up. “Let’s take a break and have some lunch. I want to eyeball Miller’s table and meet the waiter at the Officers’ Club.”
“Excellent. I could use a burger about now. A beer would be good as well.”
“You got it. Let’s visit the PR office after we eat. I need to check on Jim.”
“That sounds good to me. I’m ready.”
The two walk out of the office and the general’s driver takes them to the Officers’ Club.
“Good afternoon, gentlemen. Where would you like to sit?”
Taylor speaks up, “Is General Miller’s old table available?”
“Yes, sir.” The host leads them to a small alcove.
Everyone present notices the arrival of the two officers, and the two receive nods as they walk past.
The host waits until they take their places.
