“Oh James, I miss you so much.” “I miss you too,” my best friend replies over the phone, “Guess who is hosting a movie night at your parents’ house?” “Woah,” I chortle, slapping a hand over my mouth in disbelief, “How did you convince my dad to let you do that?” “I’m not quite sure,” he laughs as well, “But I just had to try. The atmosphere around here is way too depressing and it’s starting to rub off on Ethan.” He pauses at my sharp intake of breath, “s**t.
