Chapter 5: Frenemies

KALISIA I was completely mesmerized. He ran his strong-looking hands through his short spiked hair, and I melted. I could feel myself blush and feel hot; calming myself down was not going to happen. He was the sexiest guy I had ever seen in my life. He was muscular and buff, and his laugh could have turned my legs into jello, but then I noticed the girl he was with. She could have easily been a model and was obviously flirting with him. She was giggling and constantly touching his shoulder. She had beautiful shiny blonde hair flowing in waves just past her shoulders. Her face; however, as she turned around wasn't what I was expecting. She had big bug eyes, not ugly, but just huge. They were a bright blue and she kept batting them annoyingly over and over again. Her skin was practically glowing, and I literally mean glowing, it was almost orange. Definitely a fake tan going on there. After what seemed like 5 minutes, I realized I was staring at them both, and the guy was starting to notice me. I felt like an i***t and decided that I would just look down at my feet and dart past them to prevent suffering from further embarrassment. But then... "Devon! Are you even paying attention?!" The girl screamed at him snapping her fingers in his face. I looked up startled, and noticed he was staring at me. And not in a weird, who is this girl look, but like he was ACTUALLY interested in me. No way. That's insane. I'm so basic. I mean, yeah, I'm fairly thin, and I can fill a nice D bra out, but still. I'm not as gorgeous as she is, my hair was a complete wreck, I had no makeup on, and a face full of un-hidden freckles. I was dressed like a slut. That's what it was, I'm sure of it. Devon. Well at least I have his name. A sexy name at that. "Uh, yeah sure. One sec." He never took his eyes off of me. Oh god, oh god. He's walking over to me. What do I say? What do I do? Should I run? No, don't be stupid. I guess I'm doing this. Ugh, kill me now. But why is this boy staring at me? He walked over in just a matter of seconds, but in my mind it was an hour of slow motion, hair flowing in the wind, sweat dripping from my palms through clenched fists, and me practically collapsing in front of him. Besides the bag boy at the only place my mother would take me, the supermarket, I had never spoken to another guy before. I could truly faint right now on cue. Then there he was, standing directly in front of me, and I couldn't say anything. The other girl hadn't moved. She stood in place, with her arms crossed in an extremely pissed off manner. She seemed very territorial. Oh boy, one of those girls. "Hey, how's it going?" OMG, OMG; I'm just standing here like a weirdo. What should I do? My voice was gone, and I had no idea what to say. Should I say just hey? I was leaning towards just making a run for it. "Don't bother; she's obviously strange." The girl had finally decided to join us. Bitch. I continued to stay mute from complete fear. "The principal told us there would be a new student today. I'm Devon, and this is Ashlee." She just made a smirk in my direction, but he never broke eye contact with me. He smiled so huge showing his pearly whites and his adorable dimples. That smile could have ripped my pants off right there. I couldn't help but to picture what he looked like under his clothing. I was his. I would let this sexy creature do anything he wanted to me right here, right now, at his command. What the f**k, Kalisia. Chill the f**k out. "I can show you to her office if you like?" I finally opened my mouth to answer him, but then... "I can take you to see her! I think she'd be more comfortable with a cool chic like me showing her around." Ashlee insisted. No, thank you. I could already tell that I hated this chic, and I don't hate anyone. Well, I approach everyone with an open mind. But this b***h was already on my s**t-list. "Thanks Devon. Would you mind showing me?" Finally! She speaks! That was worth it all just to see the look on her face as we walked away past her down the hall. I glanced back just in time to see her throwing a little tantrum, stomping her feet and flailing her arms while cussing out loud. I believe I just made my first frenemy. Hmm, I might actually like this place. I turned back towards the office with an amused smile on my face. DEVON I'd heard we were going to have a new girl at school today, but never did I expect her to be so f*****g beautiful. I have such a soft spot for redheads, and there aren't that many in this school. I already knew everything about her before she walked through that door, but I could not tell her that. She would probably think of me as some psycho stalker. I knew her mother had recently died and that her dad was Mr. Cross, the weird algebra teacher. I also knew that she'd been home-schooled her entire life. The poor girl knows nothing about anything. She's in for a wakening, because I plan on showing her the time of her life. Fresh meat, and never been with a guy, I think I will enjoy this. She will be SO easy, and I'm going to make her eat, sleep, and breathe me. This will be a fun challenge.
