Mike Tyson

Few weeks after my dad left the company, I have been managing the company well and was loved by everyone. My brother owned one tenth of the company and was assigned to manage other hotels and industries. Mia also is doing her job peacefully but she still hates me. I don't give a f**k!

The following day, I attended a conference in the company's conference room. My phone was on "Do not disturb mode" and was silent for 2hours. When I went back to the office. I scanned my phone and saw 20 missed calls from my mum, 15 missed calls from my brother, 10 missed calls from Tasha and my phone started ringing again. Angel is calling me. I picked it and heard her crying from the other side of the phone.

"Mike, you need to come to our family hospital. It's dad, he fainted few hours ago and have not recovered. Everyone has tried your number, but it's not answering. I decided to call you and thank God you picked."

I left the office and suddenly rushed to Mia's office to tell her that I have closed for the day. She was surprised and wanted to ask me why, but I dashed out of her office and went straight to the garage. I went to our family hospital which is two miles away from our house. I went to the VIP Room 24 and saw dad lying unconscious, I wanted to enter inside but Doctor Carson, our family doctor told me that he is in a critical moment, so he needs to be paid rapid attention for the mean time, I went back to the visitors area. I saw mom, brother and my sisters all waiting for me. Mom was soaked in tears. Angela ran to me and asked

"Mike, we have been dialing your number since but you were not reachable, what's the problem?"

"I was in a conference room and my phone was on silent, so I was not aware of the missed calls. What's really the matter?" I asked curiously waiting for an answer when my brother stood and told me that dad is in a critical condition and we are all waiting for the results. I was anxiously waiting for the results, the doctor came out from the theatre and said that my dad has cardiac arrest and almost died if he was hospitalized on time. Doctor Carson explained that the cardiac arrest was caused by shock and heart attack, he was admitted to the CPR ( cardiopulmonary resuscitation) unit and did AED(automated external defibrillator). He assured us to go home as it is now late. My mom insisted that she would stay, let us go. I agreed with her because everyone is stressed. He said that my dad is to have the surgery the next day at noon, the surgeon is on his way from France, so he is to attend to my dad the next day. I did as he instructed and went home to relax my head, but I can't, because my dad is in the hospital. I wonder what's wrong. I slept off till the next morning.

Since yesterday, the company is not going well because Mike and Kenneth is not available and I heard that Mr Bernard Tyson is in the hospital to have surgery today. I pray the operation end up successful.

Few hours later, I saw Mike entering the office with a cold face. I quickly went to his office to inquire what the problem is all about but I can't get a hint, then I saw Kenneth enter the office and I used my eyes to ask him whether all is well and he gave a nod of affirmation and I quickly left the office.

It's almost a month now, my dad's operation was a success. He have a cardiovascular disease which is pertaining to the heart, he is getting better and is a little bit conscious. He reacts when someone tells him something and always notice someone's presence but shaking his hands. I just left him after I told him about my achievements in the company. I left the hospital and is about to enter the company when I saw Doctor Carson's missed call. I called him back and he told me to return to the hospital. I went back to the hospital and saw my mom and siblings waiting at the visitors area. I asked what happened and was told that da had cardiac arrest again and was admitted to the ICU and was given a CPR. We waited two hours for the doctor to come out from the theatre, but he didn't. Thirty minutes later, he came out with blood in his hands and met me with a sad long face saying

"Sorry, Mr Bernard Tyson didn't make it".

As he said it, I felt the world was about to crumble. My mom fainted immediately she heard what Doctor Carson said. I felt angry, sad, pained, I don't know what I am feeling at that moment. I held him by his coat and told him to look for a way to revive my dad, he can't die like that, as I was tugging his coat, Angela came and did the same, she was in tears and unbearable pain, while my brother and two sisters are trying to wake my mom all in tears. I rushed and entered the operation room and saw how he was covered like a corpse. I just saw him off few hours ago and he was responding to what I was telling him and all my achievements so far by just shaking his hands. How did he die so fast? I was asking all these questions still confused when my mom recovered and entered the operation room and saw my dad covered. She was in tears and went to his bed side and was trying to wake him up but it was not possible. We all left the hospital, but my mom stayed there. I went home, went to his room and saw our family pictures, seeing how he is smiling in all the pictures. I terribly miss him. Why would he leave is like this. This is a tragic and painful death.
