Connie dialed Dacque’s number.
“Hello.”
“Hi Dacque, it’s Connie. I was unsure whether you would be home on your Saturday off from reading story books to six-year-olds.”
Dacque chuckled. “I had Mary over this morning, and she stayed for lunch, but I just returned from driving her home. She is all excited; she has a date tonight, her first at her new school.”
