Jake clenched his rugged jaw tight as he approached the table.
My heartbeat raced. What in the world was he doing here? Was it coincidence or did he follow me? My legs trembled as I came to my feet.
Dane, who had already jumped up, motioned me to sit down with one downward-facing palm. “I’ll handle this.”
