He returned to his suite where Kate was waiting and said, “Kate, I want you to sleep in my bed tonight. I promise you'll be safe with me.”
“You just got a new bedmate,” said Kate. “I don't want to be near the scent of blood, even after your scrubbing. I'll never fall asleep in there after tonight's ordeal.”
